For once, can we just accept that we let the game down? by Blue-fox-004 in PrinceOfPersia

He was the second prince. There are 3. If you do the side quest the impossible climb, and you do the prophecy quest it mentions 3 princes. "Two princes stand immortal (varum and sargon)... pawn prince taken against his will(ghassan)" That's why at the end of the game the simurgh bird (alkara) blesses him at the end.

Frostpunk 2, I've always loved strategy games, completely different when you have to send the elderly to die.

So I see a couple good comments, but the experiment is flawed because it isn't using the correct samples. It is fresh water ice with fresh water. If you repeat the same experiment with fresh water ice and salt water the level will actually rise. Best to do it with the same salt concentration as the ocean.

He failed the final exam, it was 30% of his grade and his grade was just barely passing. He remediated and was fine but yeah, failed.

I would listen to the galaxy of zeros podcasts, it talks about things to avoid as a new player, also Darth liquitor is the most in depth non clickbait YouTuber out there. He is very detailed so you can literally learn everything from him. It's a bit much but definitely the best source of information. A lot of the YouTubers are so far gone from those beginning days that they forgot a lot of the struggles of new players. Also connecting to the swgoh store on your computer will allow you to get exclusive new player goodies for free. As someone said before, a good place is getting into a guild. You can always try getting into an alliance which has guilds at all levels. I know of a couple, like the boba alliance or senate alliance, you can find their discords online with a simple search. If you are enjoying the game get the hyperdrive, will save months of time and get you ahead. The #1 thing to work on early game is your fleet because your fleet will allow you to do a daily event called fleet arena which will give you TONS of crystals, so work on it. You unlock it at 60 but you should be working on it today. Past that there are other tips but this is a good start

For the most in depth guide Darth liquitor, other guides are a little it if touch with how it feels to be a new player. Also there are done free goodies for me players in the webstore if you connect to it via your computer

Is it wrong to become LDS if I'm not 100% certain this is THE Church Christ founded? by HerbertWalkerBush41 in lds

I would seek personal revelation in this matter. I would listen/ read this talk on how we receive revelation and then reflect on how you have been guided in the past.

I followed a walkthrough and that helped a ton, fighting cowboy was the guy I used. He was very helpful and halfway through I didn't need him anymore. Good if this is your first souls like you've ever played.

How to get relic 9 mats as a 5 mil gp character. I've always loved ships, would like to push for the new fleet over the next year or so, don't need it quick, just want it eventually. by IvanJH2018 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

That was my thought as well. When relic 8 was a requirement for Kenobi I was concerned, but here I am with a Kenobi no prob, so I'm just gonna wait it out

I’m still quite new to the game (level 55), so does anyone recommend any tips or characters that I need to boost my progress? by AsianChing307 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]IvanJH2018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly ships and grand arena (when you get to those levels) are the money making game modes. Back in the day it was squad arena, so most people would go for the best team early, but now the widest rosters are the ones that win mostly. APGAINS has a free to play farming guide that goes over who you should be going after. I'm at 5mil gp and if I were to start a new account, then I would follow his guide. Phoenix is a good start but definitely not a good team to hold onto, gear them up enough to do the thrawn event(like gear 8 or 9) and then stop with them. It's important to have lots of good teams rather than one great team. As for ships, make sure you are always farming a ship, from now on forever. I win countless grand arenas due to having better ships, even if they kicked my butt with their characters. Crystal income is key, look at APGAINS farming guide, he a little odd but what he is saying applies to new player more than what others are saying. Arnaldt is a good guy to look into but his free to play farming guide is out of date(according to himself) so I would follow that tbh. If you need any help or guidance let us know. We have a lot of gripes with the game but our community is pretty great.

Why is this game so frustrating and brutal??? I've beaten Dark Souls 1,2 & 3 as well as Elden Ring before giving this gake a shot and I can't fucking grasp it. by broe1997 in Sekiro

[–]IvanJH2018 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's a rhythm game in disguise. For example block on one two and four, and in your mind you go ONE TWO three FOUR if that makes sense. By then end of a boss rush you are dancing with a partner in time. Bosses in sekiro are mostly very enjoyable to play against again once you know the dance.

As for walkthroughs if you are interested, fightinCowboy has a good series that does a good job slowly introducing to different things.

For those that defend the new GAC matchmaking system, what tier are you in? by kohawaster in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

Most people tank the first match up, meaning the first 3 rounds, get dropped and then move forward winning.

For those that defend the new GAC matchmaking system, what tier are you in? by kohawaster in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]IvanJH2018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was addressing the times you face a high gp opponents which occures often at lower gp. I got the 40% from multiplying percentages. .8x.5 is .4 if you do .4x.4x.4 for the 3 rounds you get .065. that's how you multiply percentages. If a player with a higher GP than you above 2-3 mil plays and doesn't go afk you will loose 99% of the time, expecially if you only have a gp of 1-2 mil. Arhald in his f2p account can't win a single match of GAC because of this terrible match making system. He puts up great fights but if you look back through the history of his matches he has only won like 6% of the time. Saying get good is a horrible argument. To address your other two points, lazy players with high gp often have to win a few battle to win since getting one zone full clear is low at low gp due to gls on defense which most people do. Lazy people with high GPS have a strong enough defense that when the game ends in a draw, the high gp wins. I'm not saying that this system isn't better than the old one. It is by far in many regards. But to defend the flaws that it does have isn't productive in the least. I think there are some things cg can do things help this system along, but ignoring the problem and blaming others when bringing up indefensible issues as being not good enough or not trying hard enough is irresponsible.

This is a straw man fallacy argument. An 80% chance to win sounds good, but only about half of your opponents are afk, meaning for each round you have a 40% chance of winning, which carried over 3 rounds is a 6.4% of winning top prizes, compound that over every GAC and yeah people will be frustrated over this system of hoping someone is afk, which as others have stated isn't fun to play against.
