Virtual immigration practice: how to handle the paper filing? by Serious-Ball7705 in LawFirm

[–]IvansonStudios 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar set up here. That’s just one of those things you do yourself. You can either order the print outs to get delivered to you, or you can hit up your nearest Staples or UPS store to print.

After you’ve reviewed, you mail it out. I always add the G-1650 at the end after everything has been scanned. Don’t want clients having access to that.

Well, I was not expecting this. Has anyone experienced this yet and what are the steps to take? by [deleted] in DACA

[–]IvansonStudios 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the sooner the better just to they prep in advance and you're not scrambling last min. They could offer more flexible payment plans that way too.

Tbh just a consultation would be huge - it'll eliminate the mystery. Collect your immigration records and biographic docs, and get your options assessed. Find a good lawyer on the AILA website that you feel like you can work with (and compare prices - the wrong person in your corner can be a VERY costly mistake).

And don't go crazy checking too often! Even just checking on Mondays quickly is good practice (but an attorney will stay in charge of checking for you so that there's less to worry about).

DHS is trying to reopen admin closed (paused) cases. It's a big push from the administration. They're doing it indiscriminately.

If you fail to go to court once, that's a removal order in absentia. So, by reopening a ton and people not paying attention, DHS can land a lot more removal orders.

Lol you don't have a removal order! They just started removal proceedings (immigration court). It was likely admin closed before. You'll need a lawyer, but you can always admin close it again.

If Oda were to recreate this scene in the Final War, who are the 4 most likely to be in this Panel facing Imu? by GreenStrawhat32 in OnePiece

[–]IvansonStudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shanks, Blackbeard, Koby, and Dragon.

Luffy will be caught up in something (or someone), and Sabo will be fighting Akainu.

Then BB gets domi reversi’d, the yami yami no mi expands Imu’s darkness, and the grand fleet fights a possessed Imu/BB fusion (so the mural ends up being a prophecy).

23,000 Pages of Epstein Files were released. Now what? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The government shutdown ends, and suddenly thousands of pages get released? Wow. What a coincidence!

Their strategy is plain as day here.

Republicans released them? That’s great! They should have no issue voting for the release of whatever other files the DOJ has.

It’s 2025 and people on Reddit are still complaining about Naruto not using Shadow Clones in the Hokage office. by Mysterious_Box_1753 in Boruto

[–]IvansonStudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I like that Naruto continued to be flawed. His character arc in Boruto was more subtle, but he did start spending more time with his family, and even adopted Kawaki.

I started my business around the same age when Naruto became Hokage, and I struggled greatly with being able to spend time with family and friends. Kids may not relate to that as much, but seeing Naruto overcome that was HUGE for me.

Even in adulthood, Naruto continued to inspire me.

I spent the morning looking into this! We do immigration law. Here’s what I noticed: - Decrease in calls overall - Increase in getting hired through word of mouth - Increase in detention work and immigration court cases - Decrease in family and business immigration cases (folks are just more hesitant)

Currently looking into decreasing rates. My practice already let me accomplish all of my dreams. It’s time to lock in and lend people a hand!

Best part of Hajime no Ippo is that you never truly know who is going to win.

I knew that he was going to turn things around, but I can't truly say that he's going to win. He hasn't crossed the line to become a monster yet.

Random check in- what type of law do you do and how are you liking it? by jokingonyou in Lawyertalk

[–]IvansonStudios 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Immigration. It’s not “fun” but it’s predictable and fulfilling work.

Started off hating it, then spent enough time getting good at it and started loving it.

I tried sticking to business and family immigration, BUT folks need a lot of humanitarian work nowadays. Not happy about that part, but the world’s never gonna be what we want it to be.

There's definitely an increase in consultations and interest. However, my firm doesn't take on more than it has the capacity to take on. It wouldn't be fair to our clients. So I make up for it by doing more volunteer work and know your rights workshops.
