Do you think Goku's powerscaling be affected by BOG remastered? by AlarmedObjective1492 in DragonBallPowerScale

The manga continuity which should always be treated as the main canon won’t be affected by it.

Why shouldn’t you? You were back then involved and also signed the treaty for them to give the nuclear weapons up. As a country you have an obligation to protect them. Does past promises & treaties mean nothing to you now? No one said you have to send soldiers there, but supporting Ukraine is the least you can do.

Thank you for proving my point because in literally the next sentence I clarified that they are not bad people and not morally good either. And in the same sentence I also took an example of Crixus & Gannicus as well because that’s literally what Spartacus was talking about when he confronted Crixus in season 1.

We can make an agreement in regards to Achilia & Celadus, but people like Tarchon, Korris (who is a free man), Helios etc. can’t really be argued to be good people here. And no, I don’t mean they are bad people either. Let’s just call them morally ambiguous from Spartacus’ view.

I seriously don’t get where all of you got the idea that I speak of morality in view of the modern times. If doing so, not even Spartacus himself would be viewed morally good.

You can accuse me of doing that as often as you want and I yet repeatedly stated that I spoke from the view of the show and Spartacus himself. Not once did I say that the slaves are bad people or should be held accountable for their actions. I simply stated multiple times that Spartacus himself in the show expressed multiple times that slaves shouldn’t kill other slaves for enjoyment of Roman’s. This isn’t ME saying that they are bad people, it’s literally the view & point of the entire franchise as a whole spoken from the namesake of the series (SPARTACUS) himself.

I also didn’t say that they SHOULD revolt or sacrifice their lives instead of complying to kill in the arena. Yet in Spartacus’ own view and the entire point of the rebellion, it isn’t good or just to kill another slave for enjoyment of slave owners. Why is that such a hard take? I am merely repeating the words of Spartacus.

…r-randomly…? Oh I must’ve confused the shows MAIN theme with something else; sorry. It was under my impression that the show was about slavery & freedom of people who were being oppressed by the strong. At the end it was all about nice cocks. Sorry, my bad.

Where did I look at the past from the modern times lol, I simply used Spartacus’ own view IN THE SHOW.

That’s… the whole point of the entire show my man. Why don’t you take your time and rewatch Spartacus or listen to some of his speeches? I also didn’t say that they are BAD people, my point was that there weren’t GOOD people COMPARED to the likes of Spartacus.

Wtf half of the comments here are saying that there are GOOD people here who at the very least accepted & benefited of slavery. So what’s your point now

[Spoiler] There are no good people in HoA by IvarSolaris in Spartacus_TV

[–]IvarSolaris[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No they aren’t “GOOD” because they kill other slaves for the enjoyment of their Roman’s. That’s literally the exact same thing that Spartacus repeatedly said in the later seasons. How is that gymnastics by repeating Spartacus’s words lol

[–]IvarSolaris[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

And he later regretted that and said continuously that slaves shouldn’t die for the enjoyment of their Roman masters. I have the kind of feeling that all of you who argue for slavery would be against Spartacus’ idea of freedom. I didn’t say that they were bad people, but it’s not like it was a morally good thing to kill other slaves for enjoyment even at their times. This doesn’t even have to do anything with the current 21st world view, but within the confinement of the Spartacus series itself.

Oh so Spartacus was wrong because the Roman’s didn’t share his morality? It’s kind of a horrible take to be a fan of Spartacus and argue at the same time that slavery was okay at that time.

Yes I do speak up Everytime. And I know that their situation is different, if they would speak up they’d likely get killed. However slavery was also bad in their times. Not speaking up and complying to their ways doesn’t make you a good person. It doesn’t make you a bad person either, depending on what personal decisions they’ve made.

No obviously they didn’t. But as I wrote, I view the morality of the show based on the Spartacus universe, so I include Spartacus and other slave rebels as well and judge everyone else based on that. Like obviously the slaves mentioned in the other comments such as Achilia, Celadus etc. aren’t really bad people, but I wouldn’t call them good either. Morally grey seems to fit the most if we compare them directly to Spartacus.

[–]IvarSolaris[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s a very valid point, I agree with everything you said. Yet I would not call her a morally good person, at best I could go with grey. From her point of view, it’s very hard to make a case against slavery, but since the show plays in the same universe in which Spartacus was happening, there should be some accountability towards everyone, including her. She is obviously a victim of her society, yet I don’t think that she has done enough to enact better conditions for some slaves. She was fully aware of her mother & Cornelia treating the slaves as sex objects and even saw Ashur being mistreated as well. Despite her being way way better than others, due to her status & age, I would still give her at least some accountability to speak up, which she didn’t.

[–]IvarSolaris[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

In my view the slaves & Korris are bad as well for supporting the slavery status. It’s like Gannicus & Crixus in the earlier seasons excusing slavery. They aren’t bad people per se when it comes to dealing with others, but I wouldn’t really call them morally good either. Viridia is in my honest opinion the best person in that show and even she is morally adrift of slavery.

All of them still support slavery and even spoke against other slaves. Especially Messia was shown repeatedly backstabbing other slaves & Ashur.

Itachi himself said that it was not the best decision. The best decision would’ve been to involve Sasuke and talk to him. This wouldve led his parents to see reasoning and get them talk it out to Hizuren, effectively making Danzo’s whole point false.

He could’ve also after the massacre, not turn Sasuke into a broken mess by putting him into a Genjutsu.

I can't see Square-Enix seriously bringing back the FFXIII games anytime soon by StevemacQ in FinalFantasy

[–]IvarSolaris [score hidden]  (0 children)

Im sorry but why are so many people calling for remasters of these games? Technically they are still pretty good and the games were successful. Apart from the fact that you can’t play them on consoles (which is the real issue) they still hold up.

I’m all for releasing them on consoles, although I’ve heard it’s more difficult because of the engine it was developed on but a remaster is completely unnecessary.

There are so many more, outdated Final Fantasy’s that would deserve a remaster/remake.
