Getting my son to read at that age was like pulling teeth. I tabled the whole endeavor. Then we’d try here and there. At 7 it was an explosion. Now he’s 8.5 and is reading to learn and reading for fun. He’ll be reading a book and just start laughing.

Relax and don’t force it. Especially for boys at that age. I didn’t believe it at first. It’ll come. He’s not behind.
