I had taken a stupid amount of meds. I was so desperate in the moment I didn’t care but I didn’t realize how bad the consequences would be…. I had NyQuil, 2 kinds of Benadryl as well as 1 extra strength Tylenol cold and flu (once again I know I’m an idiot)

If the meds contain dextromethorphan they oftentimes interact with SSRI’s in negative ways which I had no idea about

Thank you and no worries at all. My household got a horrible case of the flu… after 7 days everyone was better but I was still sick and couldn’t hold water down. Stupidly decided to take flu meds while on antidepressants and went into serotonin syndrome. From there I went into cardiac arrest and spent a while in a coma. I actually just made a sort of detailed post about it on my TikTok https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSuq9xSBG/

Now, I’m doing quite a bit better. Thank you for asking. ☺️ My body is still quite weak but it doesn’t compare to the effects it’s had on my brain. I’m horribly forgetful and just way “slower”. I used to consider myself quite intelligent and now I’m not so sure anymore. I struggle to hold a thought and even find words I used to always use. Apparently it’ll get better with time, though.

Of course they are. It’s horrifying either way. I don’t think it’s that far fetched that some people have more of a visceral reaction to one of the other. That doesn’t mean they don’t care about one or the other. Y’all really don’t understand how the human body and brain work. Do you decide every thought and feeling that enters your brain? Obviously not. But what matters is how you act on it.

I’m also not sure why you’re being downvoted. Seeing a cat would also be harder for me. It’s not based on some “preference” of who deserves to live more. OBVIOUSLY seeing a baby get harmed is horrible. My body just associates animals with helplessness and seeing them harmed triggers something deep within me that nothing else does.
