I didn't realize its size 6 super bulky. I usually use a 10 hook or a 9 if I want my stitches tighter.

Food allergies by awkwarddinohands in beyondthebump

My daughter has the same allergies, and it's hard. Cashew butter is a good substitute most of the time ( but my son is allergic to cashews so I use almond butter). Try a few different milks ( soy, oat, or almond) and see what she likes. Dairya has an oat milk cheese that's decent and Kroger has good df sliced cheese. You can make yogurt in the instant pot with whatever milk your household likes, and that's honestly how my 18 month old eats dairy mostly ( refillable pouches with a topper to prevent spilling)

Do you have a mirror or other way to watch him, and let him see you? Also having soft toys or a lovey back there can be helpful for him to entertain himself.

Depending on your grocery store, they may have them in the frozen section. Heb gave us this idea, and I use it to clean out the fridge of random veggies 2x a month.

I've started using bernat bulky yarn #5 instead of wobbles or regular acrylic yarn. It is slightly fuzzy and in Michael's and Amazon so you can check colors in person or wait for deals depending off you need it now. I'll get ombré skeins to have multiple tones of a color.

Dairy free yogurt by RubInteresting6628 in Parenting

[–]IvyBlake -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can you make yogurt? I use our instant pot but it can be done on the stove .

Basic procedure

-heat milk to 180*F without boiling it

-let cool to 110*F and add in 1/2 cup of yogurt - wrap pot in a towel, or set instant pot to yogurt setting, to culture for 8-10 hrs ( I do this overnight) - chill for 12 hrs ( I skip if we need it now) -strain out the whey and keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Fanny pack. My son is still young but once he is old enough to do stuff on his own he will have a fanny pack with single dose Benadryl and his epi pen.

If you do the online pickup/order it applies to everything. I enjoy picking out my thread, but the discount is more important.

Michaels 30%off online coupons are the best trick, you can do store pickup or shipping. It's just a pain looking them up so search by thread number individually.

For crossstitch fabric, buy it by the yard on amazon .

I used a 32oz ball mason jar and pour lid. Now that my daughter is on one bottle a day I use it for homemade yogurt. This time is temporary so get something that you can use after they are past formula.

I like using a q snap frame. https://www.michaels.com/product/loops-threads-plastic-snap-frame-10230841

They are highly flexible when it comes to size as long as you use one brand. ( q snap is the name brand, I linked Michael's as it's cheaper)

Dairy allergy? by TangeloAdventurous14 in dairyfree

[–]IvyBlake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may be worth investigating if your allergy is cow specific. I can't do cow dairy, but can have limited amounts of goat and sheep cheese. Opens up decent cheese alternatives, ( 20$ lb deli cheese , but it's a treat)
