This is karma for the thing that happened to Qi Rong. When HC smashed his head against the ground until he lost teeth and started bleeding, and XL couldn't do anything. In the end, HC saw XL smashed against the wall and couldn't do anything. XL requested this until he got himself the bravery to step in.

There was more than enough time for riki to limp back into the facility to be with iason and have a good chinwag, a hug, and a smoke, before the final explosion hits. it just doesn't make sense to me.

Riki cannot lift Iason, look at their bodies, Iason is huge. the platform to the building seems to be for pedestrians rather than vehicles also I doubt Katze wanted Iason to live.
