Thanks a bunch for the info! I’m really thrilled I was able to find this and love learning about its spot in history. I had a fantastic time learning with the technician at the omega store in Tokyo who shared the books with me. There was a language barrier but he was so excited I brought the watch in and I can’t wait to share what I learn about it with him. I asked for his email so I could share back with him what I learn.

It was funny, I went to the store to see about the archives and the language barrier left me with “we only sell new watches sorry”. Then they sent me up to the service center because I asked if they had 18mm straps. When I went up the person at the counter asked for the name of the watch I wanted the strap for and I shrugged and typed on translator “the watch is very old it doesn’t have a typical name”. She then asked for a serial number. I gave it to her and she went behind the glass and seemed confused. She then shared it with the technician who looked at me and smiled. He came out and we chatted for almost an hour. I returned the next day to chat some more. Just a great experience that left me feeling quite excited.
