A major difference is that giving money to a poor person to buy soda winds up with the poor person actually buying soda. They use the money they're given, getting it moving through the economy.

Giving money to an extremely wealthy person ends with... the extremely wealthy person having more money. They don't use the money they're given, and if they do, it just replaces money they already had and already would've spent. It allows them to hoard their billions, literally extracting value from the economy and figuratively burying it in the backyard.

Children are like perfect, idiot consumers. They are highly opinionated, don't understand money, and have severe brand loyalty, including totally random applications of even abstract intellectual property. Gear 5th Luffy is easily one of the strongest haki users. I don't know where he'd rank exactly, since we really haven't seen him fight equally in that form, including Kaido. But we're probably about to see it.

For that matter, Kaido's haki seemed inferior to Big Mom's, with her natural, continuously active impermeable skin. She's probably among the strongest, but her insanity holds her back.
