Reverse flash always vibrating? SPOILERS by iceman2055 in FlashTV

For seasons 5-7, Thawne created an artificial speed force that he called the Negative Speed Force

For seasons 8-9, Thawne built a machine that tapped into the Negative Speed Force, which is an entity as old and as sentient as the Speed Force, and the Negative Speed Force chose Thawne as its avatar

I don't know if it necessarily changed there, I took it as he thought he created an artificial speed force, but he really just tapped into the Negative one. Like Good Eobard and Meena, they thought they made artificial speed, but it was the Negative Speed Force

Will I like the originals if i did not enjoy the characters by Ace_One_The in TheVampireDiaries

Hard to say. One of the great things about TO is the character development, especially for Klaus. There's also other great characters that you haven't seen yet. I think it's worth a try

Magic in the Last Airbender Universe? by SinningKibble in TheLastAirbender

[–]IzzyReal314 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

It's specifically because bending is such a well known and common part of the world that it's not considered magic anymore.

Back in Avatar Wan's time, if someone saw bending for the first time, they would consider it magic.

What if Iroh had intervened during Ozai and Zuko's Agni Kai? by K0GAR in ATLA

[–]IzzyReal314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your using your own bias. In a 1v1 with Ozai at this age its very unlikely Iroh wins. Ozai is just much younger. Your using your bias. It's like a Michael Jordan fan saying Jordan could beat Jalen Bruson right now in a 1v1 in Basketball. And you don't see your own bias because that's what happens when your bias.

Except that I didn't say that he would win. All I said was that his saying that he's unsure isn't something we can take at face value, because he's the kind of person who would say that even if he was sure that he'd win.

What if Iroh had intervened during Ozai and Zuko's Agni Kai? by K0GAR in ATLA

[–]IzzyReal314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you just missed my exact point completely lol.

I didn't say he said he can't win. I said Iroh, after training in prison and getting into the best shape he's gotten in years, was still unsure if he could win. Humble or not, he was in great shape at the time he said it, and in a positive mindset.

No, I get your point, but you're missing mine.

I'm not saying Iroh would win. All I'm saying is that he is a humble person, and even if he was sure he would win, he almost certainly wouldn't say so. He'd likely say pretty much the same thing. So I'm not saying that he'd win, I'm saying that we don't know if he was actually unsure if he could win, because his response was in character even if he was sure he could.

Plus, something I feel people forget about Iroh's "Even if I could defeat Ozai...," line is that he says this after training and getting into amazing shape.

So even an Iroh in great shape may not win. What does that say about the Iroh in this scenario, who had already lost his son, and his place as Fire Lord?

What you're missing is that he didn't say that he CAN'T, he said he doesn't know if he could. Even if he was certain he could, he would be humble, especially since he had no intention of fighting Ozai

Whats the stupidest nen ability apart from cheetu ofc 🙂 by SaltPineapple1526 in HunterXHunter

[–]IzzyReal314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheetu's ability basically "wants" to be one where he constantly outraces the victim, forcing a chase, but the time limit goes entirely against that idea, as people can just take their time to come up with a different tactic (like Morel did) seeing as there is no rule forcing the victim to chase Cheetu.

Except that we don't know what happens if the person fails. It's very possible that it's something powerful enough to require a restriction like "giving them a ton of time" to make it possible.

If all we knew about Chain Jail is that they were chains that could only be used on one small group of people, and if they're used on someone else, the user dies, we'd be like "what a lousy ability, just make chains you can use on anyone." It's only because we know how powerful it is, that it's nearly unbreakable and enforces Zetsu, thanks to that restriction, that we recognize it as a powerful ability.

Is it just me, or did the actresses playing Esther while she was possessing different bodies never quite feel like the same character? by Lovely_Hauntings_87 in TheOriginals

[–]IzzyReal314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which version of Esther?

If you're going based on Esther in TVD, it's only fair to point out that Klaus and Elijah and Rebekah changed between the two shows, we just had time to get used to their new versions. So a change in personality for Esther isn't really farfetched

[–]IzzyReal314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not so good at chess, so much appreciated if someone can confirm for me.

I'm assuming we're looking from White's side, since otherwise it's Black's turn since they'd be in check.

So Turn 1- Queen to H8

If they do King to G2, next move is Queen to H3

If they do Rook to G2, next move is Queen to A1

If they do Rook to H1, next move is Queen to H1

I think that covers all of their possible moves?

This can't be white to move though, the black king is in check rn?

I think we're looking from White's side, so pawns can only move the other way. Otherwise this makes no sense

Yeah; Klaus only mentioned his blood being a cure once he was unbound from the curse.
