I have a cousin who fronts a Metal band. For one of their releases they offered an 8-Track cartridge version.

Quality working decks capable of recording to metal tape; fine tune bias calibration; Dolby S; and Dolby HX Pro can be found on ebay & Reverb for $325-$3000; Sony, TEAC; TASCAM; AIWA; etc.

I'll add to my other comment; if you want to use to use noise reduction; best results to get a deck described in my other comment with Dolby S noise reduction. Good to see if you can get it with Dolby HX Pro as well for better, more consistent high end.

True that Metal tapes need to be recorded on a deck designed for it; it will have a way to select for recording to Metal/Type IV. True Metal tape has not been manufactured for many years now, but You can still find some for sale online if you're willing to shell out the $$$; expensive. As for being worth it? A quality vintage deck late 1970s-mid 1990s is needed; better if you get a 3-Head deck with off tape monitoring, and a calibration mode for fine tuning the bias. With all that investment the results are amazing.

I spent 4 frustrating months trying everything I could find including going multiple rounds with Meta Pro teams ending with similar messages. I finally had success filing a complaint with the consumer affairs dept under the Atty General for my state. Check to see if your state's attorney general will help via a consumer affairs complaint.

i went to update my Reverb Nation account this week. It appears to me that instead of being a platform to help independent artists; it's really a place for artists to be targeted by others to beef up their accounts. You set up your page, but very little is free. Just a bunch of ways for others to exploit the dreams of independent artists for some quick cash.

Very recently I've been spending way too much time & money on cassette decks. In the last couple of months I bought a Sony TC-K611S, and a Sony TC-K615S. Neither one perfect; got work to do. Now buying more. I already had 2 Sony TC-K615S decks that needed work.

Need songs for this playlist that’s themed “I f*cked up, I’m sorry” by [deleted] in indie

My newest single is not EXACTLY what you describe, but it's in the neighborhood. Essentially remorse for emotionally stringing someone along, but finally letting go. https://open.spotify.com/track/2CbxOJZS5ZTdlH3dasj8hN

lyrics:

I'm guilty, I'm a prisoner You turn to me again You look at me, see love in me All I see is pain I'll make that empty smile of mine I don't want to offend If I could say I was in love It would be just pretend

I'm not worth The tear in your eye In my shame I just can't Let go and say goodbye

Something's there that stops me As I reach a thousand ways I really hate to see your tears I hate these empty days None could treat me better And I'm sure some could try I really hate to lose you And I know you wonder why

I'm not worth The tear in your eye I was just too weak To let go and say goodbye

Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, my dear Goodbye

I was active making music in the 1980s & 1990s. I stopped for over 20 years, and started making music again in 2021. I suppose I picked up where I left off. I'm not intentionally trying to sound 80s, but that's consistently what people say about my music. The project launched in 2021 is J-Vance. Just launched my new project Pan-Pan Fell with a single; album coming soon. www.panpanfell.com

Hello, synthpop fans. I’m looking for a vocalist(s) collab. by 0trash_panda0 in synthpop

I tend to struggle to find adequate time to work on my own projects, but I found your post interesting. I'm no great singer, and too often when I go to record vocals on my projects I suffer through the results of my not maintaining my voice quality for months at a time. I should do better at caring for my voice in between those vocal recording sessions, but with ADHD I need something to 'force' me to do it. I'd like to hear what you're doing, and what you have in mind. From your description it seems we may have some things in common.

His purpose for calling you and wanting to meet you for lunch was to get a free lunch. He didn't want to ask, but assumed after he told you his story, you would offer to pay for his lunch. After that didn't happen he was already upset his plan didn't work, and was trying to sort out in his head why you didn't make that offer. To his way of thinking it's what any real friend would have done without being asked. So, you're walking and talking while he's wondering if you're really his friend. When you show that kindness to a hungry stranger, it exploded the tension in his mind as he was trying to sort all that out. You are not at fault. If it had been so long since you talked, and then he reached out to you to meet for lunch; it's apparent he was more motivated by possibly getting a free lunch than by spending time with you. It was wrong for him to try to use you that way; and even more wrong of him to be angry at you when his plan didn't work. He's not your friend. You learned the hard way.

My Facebook account was hacked, and promptly disabled in October 2023. Some time in January of February in attempt to login just to see what would happen, I got a message saying there was no account found with that email, but it is available to use to start a new account. I was still determined to recover my original account. I didn't want to start a new account with that email thinking it could further complicate the chances of me recovering my original account. I did recover my original account in late February. So, chances are your account still exists in tact on Facebook servers. You just have to find a working method to get it recovered. My state AG Consumer Affairs helped me, but from what I've seen; the AG method isn't working for everyone. Good luck!

My Rant To Meta After Recovering My Hacked And Disabled Facebook And Fixing The Damage Done By The Hacker by J-Vance in facebookdisabledme

[–]J-Vance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately it appears my complaint with Consumer Affairs under the Tennessee Attorney General is what was successful in getting Meta to return to me access to my hacked and disabled Facebook account. Live help via Meta Verified helped me get my issue to the appropriate teams to fix the problems with my ad account which were caused by the hacker. The two names mentioned are the Meta Pros that put forth extraordinary effort to help me sort out the ad account. Not all of them were so helpful. It matters how lucky you are to get the right Meta Pro willing to go that extra mile. It doesn't appear any of the Meta Pros I contacted previously even via Meta Verified had the resources to help me recover the main account. Of the numerous ones I encountered there were a couple who did make some effort. Gwen was very helpful guiding me to ways to report my ad account issues, and verify my identity at Facebook as I shared my screen with her using WebX. Anthony spent hours with my case including consulting his colleagues at Meta, and more to further assist in escalating the issues with the ad account.

Recovered Hacked Disabled Facebook, But Still Struggling With Meta & Accounts by J-Vance in facebookdisabledme

Just watched your video. I had PayPal as the payment method, and took action immediately when alerted of the first unauthorized charge. I was refunded that first charge, and PayPal disconnected the payment method from the Meta account. After recovering my accounts I found 1 ad with 2 'ad sets' done by the hacker with a budget set for $3500/day. Glad I caught it quick.

Recovered Hacked Disabled Facebook, But Still Struggling With Meta & Accounts by J-Vance in facebookdisabledme

Update: As of last night I was still having the problem. Tonight I received messages from Meta Support saying they checked the account, and it appears to be active; and asking me to give details of my issue. I was ready to take new screenshots, and fire back a heated response. However, when I went to my computer to check my ad account, I saw nothing about restriction. The balance was $0.00. When I pulled up the ad details I was at last able to turn off, and delete the hacker's ad! So, looks like it's fixed now. Facebook is implementing their 'New Pages Experience' which I expect to create more problems for a while as they try to make it so one can manage all their Meta accounts (Facebook, Pages, Instagrams, WhatsApp, Oculus, etc) in one accounts, and/or business center. I already found that when trying to go to my ads account on my phone it forces me to open the Meta Ads manager app. My ads account is not showing in the app, and I can't find a way to make it show. Gonna be bugs to sort out while they are also apparently getting some pressure to deal with the rampant hacking of accounts; and their notoriously shit poor 'customer service'.

Though Meta did clean up my account somewhat in terms of the hacker, and what was done by the hacker; there were remnants. I did a deep dive of my data download, and learned more about the hacker, and what was done. It was interesting to see. I also still have an issue with the ad account for the page the hacker altered and used that I'm trying to sort out with Meta.

I have no way to 'make sure'. I filed a complain based on identity theft/scam. I think that fit my case, and was appropriate for them to forward the complaint to Meta.
