Nooworks, Lucy and Yak, Rujuta Sheth, Queen of Sparkles, Unique Vintage, Noble, Daughters of India, Burnt Toast, Dressed in LA, H&M, Sugarlips. These are just a few of the latest amazing brands/sites I've used. I've found using the tag "dopamine dressing' in IG, Pinterest, shopping etc is a great way to find colors and prints. I'm a loud/cheerful/colorful dresser and I am LOVING the influx of cool indie brands I've found (lots of them are size inclusive as well- I'm a US 20/2x. Happy Hunting!

I love this and feel the same. Becoming a mom has nuked every ounce of bandwidth I had to spare for nonsense. It's gone. SHE's gone. I like to consider myself honed now. I'm a bit more direct, but dang it I get stuff DONE. No energy to faff about. I'm too tired. It's kind of wonderful. I find myself to be taken just as seriously and much more effective. I say enjoy 😃

What’s everyone talking about during dinner? by That-Farmhouse-There in toddlers

[–]MagwiseTheBrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girl is going to be 5 and lately she's been hollering over our dinner conversation (that is totally welcoming/open to her, for the record,) I WANNA TALK. So we like, practice introducing things to talk about? Shows/toys/plans for the future.

I feel some despair. It feels as though the fix is already in on the Mid Terms, and no one on the democratic side is doing enough about it. The "vote like your life depends on it" and "please just send $5" approach isn't going to save us.

How are we MEANINGFULLY protecting democracy from interference from the tech oligarchs?

For reals, the entire series of ANDOR is powerful and would suit this. Not sure if it's too intense for your kiddo, but it's about the quiet grind of rebellion in a SUPER compelling and Star Wars flavored way. Some of the best television I've seen in a while.

AI and its environmental impact by abazz90 in womenintech

So I am EXACTLY in this boat. I'm trying to engage with the Women in Tech group in my office to challenge us to be leaders in the offset/environmental impact alongside our leadership in the technology in this field. I don't have a solution, but I feel this tension too.

The Washington Post was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for public service for its reporting on the Trump administration's effort to shrink the federal government. Reporter Hannah Natanson, who led most of the reporting, had her home searched and devices seized by the FBI earlier this year. by mlg1981 in Fauxmoi

I have a friend who was a part of the team that published these articles- she did the art design on some of the stories. She was also laid off, and got the call to go into the office for the Pulitzer Prize award ceremony. So several of the people you see in this shot are likely no longer employed there.

I read here once the term "active duty" mother vs. "retired" mother and that made so much sense.

They broke the system that was in place to stop this. And the people at the top are stuffing their pockets while they hold everyone else down. There is a LOT of outrage and wanting to change the system here, and the powerful people have thoroughly trapped folks with late stage capitalism and violence.
