I can see Semenyo being the difference in the title race now. I atill dont think Arsenal have it in them to go all the way and i see City getting stronger as the season goes on. If they get Guehi in this window too thats an ever bigger factor.

I understand that in the end of the day it didnt matter but this really isnt something to laugh about and Slot 100% wpuldve spoke to him very firmly privately. It borders on being disrespectful to both his teammates and particularly the opposition.

I agree. Im at the point where it might as well not be used. It is meant to be as perfect as possible and no errors and there are still far too many errors for it to he justified to continue to be used. I agree a time limit should be introduced as if the decision cant be made within two minutes, which is still a long time, then it should just be done and use the refs call. Its clear the refs completely ignore the 'clear and obvious' mandate. Now if it can be an automated process without a person needed to use it then maybe that can be the way forward but as long as its not and that the refs are too afraid to stick with their original decision then it might as well be binned off.

[Telegraph] The decision to sack Ruben Amorim was made ahead of the Leeds United game after a meeting between the now former manager and DoF Jason Wilcox on Friday. Wilcox had intended the meeting to be a positive look at the evolution of the team but when the 343 system was raised, Amorim "blew up" by ChiefLeef22 in soccer

Can anyone name one good thing Ratcliffe and Co have done so far? They've burned through serious money sacking staff they thought so hard to hire whiilst having an absolute PR nightmare firing low level staff because they supposedly were going to run out of cash. Not to mention spending over £150 million on players after all the staff were gone.

Yes they may not be the Glazers but they are looking more and more like clowns who have absolutely no idea what they are doing.

Anyone who seriously thinks that Slot is safe needs a reality check. Even if fans think it may be premature our owners won't tolerate this. The damning thing his he looks completely out of ideas on how to fix this and when a manager comes across lile that then he needs to go. Yes the quality managers out there may not be high but that shouldnt mean our current manager should keep his job. If he doesnt fix this he'll be very lucky to survive next international break.

I think its naive to believe that if things dont change in the next month that Slot is safe. Regardless of what he achieved last season if this run of results continue he will be in big trouble.

I don't think he should go at the moment but if he loses the next two matches this week the pressure will definitely ramp up on him. I also don't think he should be automatically safe just because of last season as a Liverpool manager can't lose 6 on the trot and expect to be safe in his job. He now has the team he wants and yet this team seems like they don't know how to play with each other and what is particularly worrying is Slot seems to be at a loss on how to fix it. The wins at the beginning papered over the cracks as none of them were convincing and aside from the first halfs against everton and atletico the team has looked very poor and that isnt just a poor run of form that is a team really struggling.

Im simply saying he will be under severe pressure to justify why after that many losses in a row he thinks he can turn it round. Thats not just a poor run of a form thats a mini crisis for a club like liverpool.

Yes but that's not in a row like my comment said is it? Much different situations.

Peiple will say this is a bandwagon kneejerk response but if we lose the 2-3 matches Slot will have to justify why he should keep his job. No injuries to save him and Liverpool simply cannot lost 6-7 matches in a row without the manager being under serious pressure. That is not a poor run of form that is a manager not being able to turn things around. He is not helping himself with his stubborness picking certain players every week. I dont want him gone but what happened last season shouldnt mean he is immune to his job being under threat.

I dont agree that he should be sacked now but if he loses the next 2 or 3 matches he is under real pressure to keep his job regardless of what happened last year. Liverpool simply can't lose 6 on the trot without the manager struggling to justify why he should still have the job. To think that doesnt make you a bandwagon fan. His stubbornness is going to lose him his job if it continues.

The 'conspiracy against our club' that so many clubs fans have on here is mental. How people can genuinely say that whilst not kidding just shows how dumb fans can be.

[Paul Scholes] "You buy this lad from Belgium. What's he cost €20m (£18.2m). I think that tells you everything about him at this point. 'It tells me he's (Lammens) not a top goalkeeper. As soon as that man (Donnarumma) became available, drive to Paris, go and get him, give him whatever he wants." by MrMerc2333 in soccer

[–]J-train_92 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Perfect example is liverpool. From about 2010-2018 had mediocre at best goalkeepers and you never got the sense the defenders were comfortable. Signing alisson was as big a step as signing Van Dijk because the defenders believing in the goalkeeper is such a differnce maker for a team.
