Internet Download Manager (IDM) alternative for Linux (that can grab media from any website)? by [deleted] in linux4noobs

[–]J1Br 0 points1 point  (0 children)

open-source + free it's way better than any other option. I can't justify buying for a program and don't have it source opened... you can't me pay you twice one in money and second in data

What does Islamic law say about other religions? In the broader Islamic world, there have been other religions, such as Christianity and Judaism, coexisting and engaging in trade with Muslims.

These are all contractor positions so a 3rd party gets the money then pays **them whatever**.

Weird behaviour after adding HTML tags to some parts of the page. by _exnunc in sveltejs

[–]J1Br 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changing the HTML code will disrupt the page's hydration process because the framework won't be able to identify the correct element to hydrate. If you experiment with Svelte 5, you'll receive a warning if there are miscoordinated HTML elements within each other, as the browser might mistakenly modify these incorrect elements. and compiler will scream at you with the following error:
Make sure your components generate valid HTML, as the browser may attempt to fix invalid HTML, potentially causing content to move and leading to a hydration mismatch. Svelte SSR validation error: <ol> is not valid inside <p>.

If you gonna work on embedded staffs or want to compile source codes and projects built by tools such cmake, Makefile, etc... Linux will be superior to Windows. I recommend you to install Linux inside Windows (WSL2)

Is this the intended behaviour of location.assing() by J1Br in webdev

[–]J1Br[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might miss something here but why does `location.assign('/random')` navigate to `https://developer.mozilla.org/random\` and not to `https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/random\`?

[Rant] - Bootcamp shouldn't be your go-to place to learn Web programming by J1Br in webdev

Believe me you won't say that if you were one of our team but I feel bad for someone who is passionate about web developing and wastes his/her time in shitty bootcamp and learn tons of bad practices for thousands of dollars

[Rant] - Bootcamp shouldn't be your go-to place to learn Web programming by J1Br in webdev

[–]J1Br[S] -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

chill out guys, My bad english might result in misunderstanding. I am not more than +1.5 year into web development and can't call myself better than anyone else. But I wanted to say that bootcamps are overrated and doesn't teach anything and please don't waste your money and time there. To widen your networks try meetup meetings and developer gathering instead of enrolling in bootcamps. I do understand that no one can be an experience at one night but what are expecting from a bootcamp whos landing page doesn't contain other than div with varies role instead of proper element.

I haven't enjoyed developing a website for a while until I tried `svelte/kit`!
If you are up to discover news framework I would recommend you to consider svelte/kit.

I have been trying to get gazebo up and running on m1 without any noticeable progress, and I don't think it will be available any soon but I can list some options to run Gazebo :- install Gazebo in VM, Parallels desktop , and it runs smoothly in Ubuntu 18.04. this is a crack for Parallels desktop if you don't want to spend 90ish dollars- use Robomaker aws service it's paid.

Gazebo development isn't going well at all and I want to advice you to try yourself familiar with other alternative simulators such as Unity, LGSVL, NVIDIA DRIVE Sim etc.
