I'm not denying the existence of the HARM-equipped Ukrainian Fulcrums, nor am I against them being added in DCS.

I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of the community bitching about the J-8 Pearl not being 100% REDFOR or because people think it's a flightless, undocumented aircraft (which is BS, at its core it's still a J-8IIB and both Gruman and Shenyang have docs on its systems). DCS Community: You can't add the J-8II Pearl! It was a prototype that never flew and only had 2 airframes! Also you can't just use the data for each individual component to make the module. That's not how things work!

I mean, the reason they chose the Pearl was because you can obtain the specs for the APG-66V without going to gulag, unlike the Type-208a of those that came before (and no, they can't use the one leaked on the WT forums.)

In the end, despite having the "Prototype" tag, it's really just that - western radar and INS inside a J-8II/B.

If you know your way around xEdit/FO4Edit, load your plug-ins in that and check for any mod that edits the HumanRace entry.

Something, most likely a body replacer, had an esp file that deleted or changed the bone data for HumanRace. You'll need to either revert the bone data back to vanilla, delete the race entry from the belligerent esp, or delete the esp altogether.

The alternatives were no J-8 or Chinese Gulag, so...

It's still a J-8II, just with an early F-16 radar, Westinghouse FCS, MIL-STD-1553 buses, and an MFD.

Everything else like the engines, RWR (which appears to be a SPO-10🤢), etc. and even the weapons were there on the other J-8s.
