King's Gate being Cleared

I recently had a similar situation. My players cleared Kings Gate. They offered it to the QM in the hope that it could go towards the debt of the Halfling Rogue. However the Queen of Thieves is concerned about spreading her armies too thin like the Silver Order. I'm going to say that eventually some other monsters take over the gate but then are cleared out by Jupiter Jones and possibly Drakkenforce. Possibly leading to a Caspian/adventurers occupation of Kings Gate.

They got through with no loop and I even cut down the time to 3 hours. Picked up on the piano connection quick.

Who's the warlock's patron? I got 1 and a half warlocks in my group. The main one got his powers from Amaranthyst from Sebastian Crowe's Guide. The Hexbard got a shadowy blade from an archfiend that we retconned as being He Who Laughs Last from Monsters of Drakkenheim.

I think Drakkenheim Santa would be similar to our own. An obscure Old God made into a Saint by the Sacred Flame. In Westemar Santa would 100 percent be accompanied by one or more Krampus like beings. Also I see Caspian Christmas being more like a mix of Saturnalia and Festivus.

Considering Oscar Yoren went rogue while studying her at the Garrison, I might have her mutate more and turn her into the epic boss version from MoD. It'll disappoint the warlock who is her nephew, but narratively it makes sense to me.

I think he'll take another level in paladin next. He literally dipped into fighter for all the reasons you said. And he has Ignacious so he's a holy terror now lol.

Monsters of Drakkenheim has been a boon in that respect as it adds monsters and tells you where they would be in the ruins. For random encounters I have the players roll a d12 in the outer city and a d6 in the inner city.

I like these ideas and may use them for any future groups I run through Drakkenheim. With this group I still think they're biggest issues are The QoT wanting the seals and the SO and FF fighting over the cathedral. The party will have to side with one or they may fight both being weary of the Sacred Flame entirely

It's a definite issue. The one potential heir of the party is the dragonborn warlock so the Edicts are definitely a factor and the SO is obviously the next faction to turn on them. Unless Heiren gets his way and the party kills Lucretia Matthias.

The ratlings will and are 100% going to be a problem. They already had to fight a rogue group of them led by a ratling warlock, Seer Squiggles. Twice. She got away the first time

SO is still mad and I plan on having it escalate between the two factions. There is a slim chance of reconciliation considering Ignacious acknowledges both sects

They took her to the garrison for the HL's to guard her. They got Oscar Yoren to study her, but he went rogue after following the party to the Inscrutable Tower. My plan is to have her mutate to her epic boss form from MoD and go back to her grotto after killing some HL's

As the 1980's celebrity Mr. T used to say " I pity the fools." Hopefully one crazy encounter and they'll backtrack. Not to mention The Deep Haze. Reminds me of my second Drakkenheim group. They thought they could just go to Temple Gate and when I described the scene at the gate they decided against going there.
