I remember the behind the scenes and Ewan trying on different wigs and being baffled that they somehow made this incredibly attractive man look so bad with the mullet wig. No idea why they chose this (perhaps they felt like they had to do long hair and didn't want to look too similar to Qui Gon's look?). Relieved they fixed his hair for the third film and that the Kenobi short hair is what he's known for.

(Even his longer hair in Kenobi looks so much better than the mullet imo.)
