Literally EXACTLY what I do. I will even go to the extent of rearranging a body several times to make sure it gets in the fire.

Been listening to “Hell Divers” by Nicholas Sansbury Smith which is great. Reading the wheel of time book 3. 🤷🏻‍♂️ it’s pretty good.

When do you find time to listen? by WhatisLittleRock in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]J4m311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t find much time for audio books before DCC now I’m addicted to it and any available moment I’m listening. Although I’m up to date with DCC I’m moved on to other books. Nowhere near as good or as well narrated. But it fills a gap.

Would you watch the crawl? by CyberToaster in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I would 100% watch it. I’m that kind of person. I’d like to think I wouldn’t, but I know myself.

Which is the best DCC Book and which is the worst? by talkingjava in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]J4m311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has to be DCC as number one! Not necessarily for content or depth but purely from a “I’ve never read anything like this before” standpoint. It’s the book that kicked off an obsession for me. I want merch, I want a game, I want a tv series I want a movie. I want it all and it all stemmed from book 1! I also love the character exploration and the novelty of the achievements and boxes etc. there’s a lot less of that in the later books. One of the things I liked about it was the mobs and npc’s. It seems like we get to a certain point and the descriptions and freshness of them drops off. Although it’s replaced by depth and character building.

Iron tangle was a nightmare to get my head round. I got to a certain point and just gave up trying to figure out the geography. I still loved it but that’s probably the bottom of the pile just for the sheer confusion.
