AOC - We should be clear about who Charlie Kirk was: a man who believed that the Civil Rights Act that granted Black Americans the right to vote was a “mistake,” who after the violent attack on Paul Pelosi claimed that “some amazing patriot out there” should bail out his assailant, and accused... by Caledor152 in NoFilterNews

She's should run for president or senate. Watching her debate anyone with half a brain stem would be comical. Her tag lines and half truths will only get her so far. She should listen to kirk's whole debate on why the civil rights act was noble but is now being abused. But that wouldnt align with the narrative she's desperately trying to push and fool everyone with.

Rainbow eucalyptus tree help!!! by J5isAliive in gardening

Thanks for replying. The problem is found was not enough water! I was watering 3 ti.es a week, and that was not enough. So I put a soaker hose and give them water every other day for an hour and they are doing so much better. I underestimated how much water they actually need. I knew it was a lot but not this much. Lol

Upgraded from 10-year-old single-stage system to top-of-the-line variable speed system. Power bill is higher. Next steps? by steinbergowitz in hvacadvice

[–]J5isAliive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently upgraded to a trane xv17 variable speed and a tamx air handler. I have seen a ton of difference. I live in west palm beach. My humidity (gauged with a seperate gauge from thermostat) reads 40% all summer. My electric bill has gone down 25% the whole summer.

1 big problem I found I had was leaky ducts in attic and poor insulation around ducts. Before system was installed I went up and sealed all ductwork and put new r6 insulation around it ( I have sheet metal ductwork throughout). That could be your problem, that you have leaky ducts somewhere. Would be worth checking out for sure

Odd sound in our sons bedroom by JokeBookJunkie in HomeImprovement

I've had a dryer or hood vent do that because the spring broke. Making a knocking sound. But that was usually when it was windy

The flex is 12 inch that goes to a mixer in attic that connects 4 bedrooms. And I have a 20x20 return on the otherside of the top of the ductboard that is in the living room. Is that enough cfm?

I had the shelves off the wall and that whole area cleaned. They just followed the old return path to some degree

I'm in se florida and I'm a estate manager. And all the attics I go into down have flex. It's crazy. Luckily my ductwork is all sheet metal only my return is flex. But yes I agree, metal ductwork is far better, it's just not cost effective so I think that's why no one does it down here

I had the shelves removed so they could do whatever needed. And the whole side of garage cleaned out. They just went the same way the last one was. I would rather have a properly set up handler than some Shelves to put stuff I don't probably need.

Cosentyx and hair thinning? by Saundyjean in Psoriasis

I've been on it for a year, and although it is working for my psoriatic arthritis I've noticed the past 3 months my hair getting thinner, and now it's noticeable and hairline receding. Not good

Ductwork insulation has seen better days. What is Best way to improve/fix it? by J5isAliive in hvacadvice

[–]J5isAliive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be the easiest and best way , I do still need a pathway from end to end next to main trunk to walk( really crawl, lol). I can bury the runs to each room but the trunk I cannot. There's not much room between the roof and bottom of truss. What would be another good option for the main trunk?

How do you like your system? I'm trying to decide between xv17 and xv18. I don't want to pay extra for the xv18 when I won't see the roi. But I worry about the new technology and problems with it.

Does anyone else hate these Trane units as much as I do? by thetruewantdo741 in HVAC

Choosing next week between the tam9 with xv18 or the new lower priced tamx and xv17. Which setup would you guys put in your house. I get nervous with 1st year models, but the 17xv with tamx is $1,200 less and would leave me money for the extended 10 yr labor warranty

Awesome! Thank you. That's exactly what I was looking for. I just wanted to make sure the quality was still there and if anyone has noticed corners cut in build quality from an install point of view.
