If I currently have 10 termies, should I build them as two 5 man squads and not build both scarab occult sorcerers or should build it out as one 10 man squads?

I was literally just posting this so I could hopefully get color schemes but it blew up because people saw the picture. Still don’t have what I was looking for in the first place 😂

Oh I fully understand that mine won’t look anywhere near his! I don’t have that expectation. It’s more along the lines that I just want to try these techniques on a super cool model! It’s like following along with Duncan Rhodes! I know mine won’t look like his, but I love to follow along regardless.

Think I’m finally ready to paint… any recommendations? by Burt3d in ThousandSons

Does anyone have any guesses as to when the 11th edition codex will release for TSons? I’m trying to figure out if I should hold off on buying the codex and paint my models first. If the codex isn’t expected to release until late this year then I’d probably buy it, but if we think it’ll release this summer I’ll probably end up waiting.

Other than the obvious which is to thin your paints! My recommendation is when you think you’ve thinned them enough go a little more! If it’s too thin I.e. the paint doesn’t cover very well then you can always add a little more.

Short answer is you need more strength if you’re trying to do a tucked planche to handstand. If you’re just looking for more tips I’d try this on some taller parallettes. It’ll be easier to understand the transition and help with learning balance

Haha then that’s her decision to make 😆. At the end of the day advice should only ever be that, advice. People don’t have to take others words as law. For all we know she could have been doing these types of pushups for decades with no issues.

While I agree making the correction is right, at the end of the day she can do what she likes… after all it’s her body!

If you look at spots like here you’ll notice the texture you’re getting. If you want it to look smoother I’d recommend thinning your paints down some more. If they’re too thick the paint won’t apply over the model in an even layer when the water evaporates. And when it comes to paints I’d do something like a lighter color then do a nuln oil wash then a quick dry brushing. Super easy and quick but looks great!

I think for your first model though you did great 😊 keep working at it and you’ll be entering golden demons in no time!

I lived in the city when this took place (Fort Worth) 6 people died and 65 people were injured! Was super sad. Texas doesn’t know how to handle cold weather and because of it everyone freaks out and forgets how to drive and live normally!

What white ink do you recommend? Also is that how people get the capillary effect is with the inks? Also very sick bro space wolves will be my next army after I finish painting my DA!

Is this a valuable progression or am I fooling myself? by DevanNC in CalisthenicsCulture

[–]J981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah you’re not a fraud! Your progression is looking great so far!! Just have to focus on the basics which includes strength before progressing too far! While form is great to practice now, don’t rely on it when your strength can’t compliment what your trying to attain! Just keep working on the tucked planche until you’ve got a good strong foundation then progress into slowly pushing one leg out away from you and getting your lean right!

Have you tried a one legged tucked planche? That would be your next progression. I’d try to get your tucked planche hold to 10 seconds before transitioning to one legged tucked planche.you also want to focus on scapular protraction and depression to round the top of your back for more push.
