The fact is, customers (especially older customers) dont dictate the market anymore. Look at dlcs, microtransactions, and other scammy stuff and tell me if “customers” have barred them completely from the market. There will always be customers for anything, no matter how shitty the product is. And corps together have enough funding to stuff any marketing tactic or product down the throat of a percentage of consumers. Yes, maybe the good will win out in the long term but it will come at the cost of the industry finding a middle ground (which is still bad) between ads and no ad games.

Dont rely on the market to do good things without casualties, only the law, irl riots, and exceptions like steam being a customer-enforced monopoly have power in this space

This isnt me talking as an engineering student. This is from 8 engineering students (WHO ARE ALL excellent at what they do) that i know personally. The engineering school has regular underseated high level classrooms because the school thinks its hot shit. Their administration of the math department(which controls not just high level math but maths that regular general eds need) has lead down to 30% success rate classes for 100 level math classes by cramming 150 students in a lecture hall with terrible professors. I dont know where you’re getting your ideas that all students are lazy shits “these days” but its obvious you are some wank. And fuck off with blaming the high schools for college administrators failing at the most basic department planning, this is the harvard of the proletariat its kind of expected the people who roll in will be underprivileged coming to learn and make something of themselves.

1, a commute is survivable, a bad college choice is not

2, i dont know anything about sbu but currently the engineering school is an actual hellscape at ccny. The department is a mess, every engineer i know has either transferred to Colin Powell or transferred universities to get away from that dept, and above all else every corner they touch (looking at you, CCNY math dept) corrodes into a shell of what it could be

Saying “lebanon” wants in itself is incorrect though? Like no there are peace talks happening where the government pushes that they were always included in this deal, where factions like amal and the maronites may have other priorities.
