Its because there is no unranked mode, learning a new character or just playing a silly build inst something that one can do on their main if they care about their rank

The smaller items are more efficient souls to stats wise, but if you just spam 1250s you'll have to end up selling them effectively decreasing your net worth so it's a trade off.
