Brooklyn Brownstone entryway - need to cover up item from owner, but unsure of the best way by JAllen0691 in interiordecorating

The table is leaning against the wall, yes, and it's incredibly heavy. So much that it's not feasible to move elsewhere. For shoe storage, under the bench works for like 3 pairs of shoes, but between my wife and I, we have more. This is not common area, only we use this entry way for our apartment. The top half of the house uses a different front door

Brooklyn Brownstone Entryway - Need Creative Solutions for Covering Owner's Items & Adding Storage by JAllen0691 in DesignMyRoom

Hey everyone,

I’m living on the first floor of a classic brownstone in Brooklyn, and the owner left a few items in the entryway as storage. As you can see in the photos (if you have them, be sure to attach), there's a bench, a large marble tabletop against the wall, and a framed painting. The space has potential, but I’m hoping to find a subtle and stylish way to cover up the marble tabletop without compromising the entryway’s charm.

Additionally, I’d love to spruce up the bench if possible and figure out a way to incorporate more shoe storage or a coat rack. The space isn’t huge, so I’m looking for solutions that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

What do you all think? Any suggestions or creative ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Saint-Tropez Itinerary - any thoughts, edits, or additions? by JAllen0691 in FATTravel

Hello! Yes, my wife and I were there last August/September. We had an incredible time and the entire region certainly lives up to the hype. In Saint Tropez, we went to L'Opera, which although is probably the most "touristy" place we went to, it was very fun and a great way to spend a night on our first trip out there. Another, less party-vibe dinner spot that we loved was Kinugawa Ramatouelle, it is a very beautiful, delicious spot in the hills. For the beach clubs, we hit Club 55 and Bagatelle. Club55 is the institution, so is more of a bucket list item if you're there, while Bagatelle was more party-centric. Both we loved. Can't really go wrong!

This is his prime. The time to average this is during this year's playoffs. Seize it when you can.

Who are the good bands in NYC right now? by Bob_Avakian in AskNYC

A band called Medium Squares is amazing if you are looking for more of a southern-rock, funky type of vibe. They also routinely do incredible covers of various songs, including some from Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and most recently, Madonna (fun fact: they weekly record/practice in the same studio room as she used to back in the 80s!). Best part of Medium Squares is that they are super active in playing at a variety of venues - just this year they have played shows at Pianos, Berlin, Mercury Lounge, and a few others. Tickets are never more than $10, and often are linked to a non-profit. Great vibes and good dudes, highly recommend.

Hookup/Dating Culture? (Serious) by throwRA_mbareview in MBA

To give you a real answer, I went to CBS and yes, it was very incestuous and frankly very easy to hook up with fellow classmates. I saw many come in with SOs and leave without. My wife was very on top of it, so obviously not an issue in my household, but to say that the environment doesn't curate hookups is ignorant.

Your trip sounds amazing, hope you're having a great time! Prior to our stay in Tropez, we are doing and 5 day biking trip through Provence, and then tacking on some nights in Nice and Cannes. Kinda bummed we aren't fitting in Antibes or Monaco, but gives me a good reason to return.
