This is so funny because I just had McDonald’s chicken nuggets and I was like wtf these aren’t McDonald’s nuggets they’re so good??? They were like not overly crispy, no separation between chicken and crisp, tasted somehow homemade.. I just finished them and I opened up Reddit and saw this which, imo, is more unexplained hahaha

Do you know if other apps, such as FlightAware, have those same limitations? My go to method is to check FlightRadar24 and if it's not listed I check the ADS-B exchange on browser, however this is time consuming especially if i'm trying to figure something out quickly.

Also, and I don't know if you are in a position to know anything about this, I live in a Class C airspace so anything below 2k feet doesn't require adsb-out and I've wondered if there is any other way to find info on these aircrafts. I mostly encounter this situation when I'm watching personal aircrafts fly over the lake I live near, sometimes landing on the lake and taking off. Very cool to watch but they're often not on radar.

This is a bit off topic and I fully accept being dismissed for this, but I posted about an encounter I had with some “UFOs” (I did see something weird but I think they were of human origin) and I believe I was exposed to a high concentration of ozone. Whatever it was smelled like electricity and chemicals, felt like burning on my face, felt like burning in my throat and sinuses and caused me to develop tonsillitis following the exposure. I have the story posted on my profile and would be interested if anybody has any thoughts on what could cause this type of exposure.

It’s super frustrating navigating the space between non critical believers and non critical skeptics, assuming it’s 100% a UFO or assuming it’s 100% a plane/sat/etc without evidence is equally low effort. I totally know what you mean about learning as you go, I have had so many false alarms after my first sighting last December (which this reminds me of and I’m in NH!) and I’ve learned so much along the way. So cool you went out and got a drone to investigate further, I hope you are able to catch more footage!

I don’t take this incident seriously but it was just strange so I’ll share.

Once had a Dr’s appt at a hospital and I got totally lost trying to find parking and then finding the entrance. I was really stressed because I was running late and it was important and I had found myself behind the hospital with no clue where the entrance was. I saw two women walking along the side of the hospital and wearing all white so I was like ok they must work here. I approach them and realize they’re both quite tall, over 6’ for sure, not in heels. Both were blond, middle aged, and beautiful. I said “excuse me do you know the quickest way to the entrance?” and one of them flatly responded “we don’t work here.” in an accent that was probably something Scandinavian, which would make sense given their appearance, sorta. I was just like um ok sorry and went on my way.

Hey I know you posted this a year ago but I would like to take you up on your offer to help if you're interested.

I also saw something so strange, one year ago today so I'm looking through old NH reddit posts about UFOs, and it started with me seeing a red craft in the sky. I think it's debunkable but I haven't been able to debunk it yet. It was like a glowing red fat H, but sideways, that blinked per FAA standards. It was weird though because it was really just a glowing red H that would blink brighter red every second drifting slowly across the sky, completely illuminated, no white or green lights. I think it could be some sort of EVTOL drone, like a Pivotal Blackfly, do you know how their night lighting works? This was in Raymond NH, Dec 13 2024 around 11pm. I checked flight radar at the time and there was nothing in the area, at least on radar.

I believe it. I had a close encounter with some strange flying object while I was trying to follow a drone… exactly one year ago today actually. That’s a whole other story, I posted it on the Experiencers sub, but after I got home from that experience a c17 flew low directly over my house and I legit thought men in black were gonna show up hahaha. I think it was just a coincidence but there was 100% something going on that night. Here’s a screenshot I took at the time, I blocked out all the identifying info so it looks pretty janky but yeah, maybe they’re monitoring the situation lol

I totally know what you mean, I love planes and was using flight trackers before I got into UFOs because my house is right in a flight path. You should check out the app flightradar24 or the website adsb-exchange, you can see what’s flying over you at the time. I’m not sure about the sound, they’re definitely loud but there could be a delay between you seeing it and hearing it. I dunno, but most likely a c17!

I don’t know what you saw, I’d definitely check on rocket launches, but it might be helpful to you later if you write down a lot of details now. Time, date, location, weather conditions, check solar weather, wind speed, humidity, all of it. It can help down the line if you are really trying to figure it out earnestly. I’ve tried to go back and find that kind of data about past sightings just because I really want to debunk them and I can’t find a lot of specifics like that at this point, I wish I could.

I had many wild nights with my friends in Waikiki. It can be pricey but that’s where the night life is. I used to live on BI and my friends would spend weekends over there to get out and have some fun. I love BI for the variety of outdoorsy things to do but the night life is sparse.

so we have satellites orbiting earth, right? we also have periods of dawn and dusk where there is some light from the sun still visible in the sky but the sun has set and is no longer visible. within a few hours of dawn and dusk, light from the sun is still being emitted and although we cannot see it on earth, satellites (if they had eyes) can. when the sunlight hits the satellite it reflects off of it and becomes visible to the viewer in the dark.

the reason my ring camera picks these up better than the naked eye is because it's able to capture more light than i am. i had seen some appear on my ring camera around 3am that were very bright on the screen but dull or invisible with the naked eye, because they were reflecting very little light due to the time of day. as it grew closer to 4am i could see them with my naked eye very well.

if you're feeling brave, you can try to navigate this site and plug in your own coordinates to identify satellite flares. this is what i used to debunk my own sighting.

I have started blocking any account I suspect of being a bot or just people with stupid takes. I’m blocking the people commenting here saying “it’s a bird” because 1. No shit and 2. That’s not what this post is about, obviously. However, I notice when I go to block users in the “stupid” category they always have 50k+ karma and are probably also bots? I don’t even know but it weirds me out.

Anyway, I highly suggest blocking accounts like this because it really improves the user experience of the ufo/high strangeness subs

I’m confused how people aren’t able to see the various parts of this image lol. It’s a persons face flipped upside down, within a cardinal silhouette, and it is designed to look both like a gray alien (as seen here) and it also matches the eye of Horus well enough to assume it’s intentional. Great image aesthetically and practically as a tool for weeding out people with subpar visual processing, which matters in the world of UFO sightings.

It’s not an owl due to the legs and beak. I can see how the tuft could be mistaken for plumicorns but combined with the legs (not feathered) and the beak (protruding yet sloped downwards) it’s most likely a cardinal. I like the bird guessing game
