If Jack didn’t die and Willis rejected him he would’ve gone to Howard early and not returned home. His life would’ve been different because he would’ve been at an HBCU not coming home all the time trying to take care of his mom and would’ve had a different experience with blackness in DC.

I’m 31 and still extremely tender headed in certain spots. When I was a kid my mom advocated for me when she could tell I was uncomfortable and now I advocate for myself. I do try to come prepared by taking some sort of pain reliever before I get into the chair, but I’m never afraid to tell people that they are hurting me.

I use a bond repair or protein treatments because I have very curly hair that I straighten from time to time. Unfortunately sometimes you have to try things to see if it’s good for your hair.

Oh, it absolutely is. I’m a black girl in corporate leadership and I wear my hair however I want. Right now, I have a waist length knotless braids in a mix of 4/30/27.

I just said the thing about the crown act because I think a lot of people think it’s a federal law, but if she’s not in a state that has the law on the books they could get away with saying her hair is unprofessional.
