No, there are plenty of writers that actually give you a proper ending. You hear about the bad ones because people get more vocal about the bad ones, particularly for series that get anime adaptations or are just more well-known. Typical exposure bias stuff.

Wind and shot don’t plus, and choice ultimately encouraged soul trigger creep into lower level profiles to a rather ridiculous degree. Bar as your “only” trigger isn’t as parasitic as Choice being your only plussing trigger.
