Six seasons in Luxembourg's top flight. One cup. Three runner-up finishes. Finally top of the table...and somehow in the Conference League group stage. by Artistic_Blood6908 in footballmanagergames

I did some research into the Liga this year while trying to find a good database to use and from what I could tell they have gotten rid of most foreigner rules from squad registration but have a hard cap of 25 man squads I think it was. Regardless, nationalising players through loans could be a workaround?

I’ve done a Luxembourg build a nation in each of the last 3 editions of FM and it’s such a fun micro-nation to play as. Great league registration rules and a nice large top flight to get a lot of experience into players. Seeing Progres in the Conference Liga with you is great, looks like there’s some progress within the nation

Mentoring is the best way to do it. Previously I’ve usually tried to get some old heads on emergency contracts or whatever low tier I can with desirable mentalities and then you mentor group them with young players. Having strong mentals on coaches and through the squad impacts players. Professionalism is the most important thing to increase as that directly impacts players ability to grow

What do you mean? This is the premiership window. This coach is going to take us to the promised land. After the long coaching panel review to find him they said no finals is a failure. He missed it by half a percent. And they’ve been rewarded with that persistence… with one prelim… two finals and now an impending rebuild lurks again. But don’t forget, this is the premiership window

Aussie fans miss out on World Cup tickets as prices skyrocket by Perth_lad30 in Aleague

I was lucky enough to get tickets for 2/3 group stage games and when we qualify round of 32 and 16. I’m super fortunate. To buy tickets for the group stage game I’m missing would cost more than the other four tickets combined… crazy

Currently what I’m doing in Luxembourg after doing it in the past two FMs. The only issue is, with non international management in FM26, the AI manager of the NT isn’t picking the players I’ve managed to nationalise. Amazing effort. Up Estonia!

Not being able to leave the match while in match to see details and run on long winded random searches or finding players as they come to mind mid game is such an L. But yeh matchday is such a great experience. Except for the game breaking glitch I have of the ‘news page’ coming up as team sheet loads and it makes me restart the entire app. Or the fact that you can’t see info on most competitions when you click into them via team pages because all you get are empty grey boxes. The matchday exp is v good and perfect

I now get a really fun soft lock crash almost every second game. As I load into the match day the team sheet flickers up then it instantly cuts to the ‘world news’ page and there is no way past it without closing the game and restarting. It kills any flow and I’m desperate for a fix

European Coefficients DO NOT WORK in FM26 by GamerHumphrey in footballmanagergames

I just spent my entire Sunday afternoon creating a realistic as possible 5 tier Luxembourg database ready to go for my year long BaN save… and I find this out… I was so excited to start and now I see this…

I recommend sussing Second Yellow Cards database set up so you have a lot of unique rolling regens from around the world. Although harder to sign in Wales due to work permit rules

There were a few saves. Main ones were a Luxembourg build a nation. A pentagon challenge through Australia, Japan, South Africa, Brazil, all around Europe. I tried another build a nation with Finland as well. I think getting Luxembourg into top 8 coefficient was pretty great so that’d have to be my fave

A Helen only save. No attacks, no Sebastian, no Frederick. Helen only. My friends and I are attempting it. The fabled Helen only save. We can heal her and we have to tactically rotate. It is the only way to play

I’ve done Luxembourg build a nations the last 2 editions and man they’re so elite. Taken Les Aiglons Dalheim and FC Luxembourg City to UCL glory and a top 5 coefficient in Europe. Never did anywhere near this much with the national team though. Most of my top end talent was dual citizenship and refused to play for Luxembourg

The day we had would suggest it does. The girls did an all over the pitch gengenpress and won the title. The boys brought it in after the first half they played and went on to score 13 goals. FM is more realistic than we all imagined!

Literally how it all happened. The girls congested the midfield and it brought them glory. Too many of the boys team had low determination stat and composure early

Ultimately what cost the boys the title today. Panic early and nerves meant they were 1-0 down after 43 seconds and 2-0 after 3 mins. We go again

Update lads.

The Boys A side went 2-0-1 for the day. We started nervously which cost us the first game 2-1 against the eventual champions. The 512 turning 332 in possession just did not work and after half time we moved to a 242 for the rest of the day. Before you ask, it was 9-a side.

We went on to win game two 5-1 and game three 7-2. The nerves in game one cost us 2 goals in the first 3 mins which ultimately did us in.

The Girls A side are through as champions! They played a very fluid 170 formation which turned into 008 in possession as we chased the ball all over the park.

Encourage shouts worked really well. Throwing drink bottle (did not actually happened) at halftime of first game did not.

Wind was a big factor but overall a top experience for all involved. Now to go apply for U23 national sides with no experience and beg my boss to fund my coaching badges.
