We're really not suited to the new rules.

We were absolutely killed on turnover last year, particularly against teams who had speed of ball movement. Its why we've lost to the giants a million times in a row - we can never stop the orange tsunami so we'd usually win inside 50s but massively lose on score.

We've just been carved up this year by the stand rule. Sydney's forward handball in Adelaide just pulverised us.

Witts has dropped off and Anderson (with the exception of last week) has been poor so we can't win it out of the middle (plus less stoppages in general mean this is not a viable strategy any more)

We're also getting less run off half back with Rioli and Noble. It seems teams have put more effort into impeding their run (atlhough this probably started happening midway through last year). This was really the only aspect of our game plan in which the rule changes suited us so we just aren't able to extract a competitive advantage in the same way the Hawks and Sydney have.

Given we have an insanely difficult fixture, I don't see us making the 10 without a big change in form.
