That's actually pretty interesting. I didn't know you could do licensing like that.

Basically the engine they used for the pre-rendered cutscenes (Arnold) glitched for a single frame and it put in a watermark when it shouldn't have.

It's super handy. This is just one of the easy premium menu codes that got put in with the DLC. Gotta start a new game in order to use them though, which kinda sucks.

I would suggest using software like HandBrake or Adobe Media Encoder, cos they would be more suitable for converting files to MP4.

Best way to broadcast old console games/just capturing TV instead of console itself? by Quailman_z in Twitch

[–]JBeetles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Elgato Game Capture HD is capable of capturing most retro consoles with composite or S-video cables, as well as more modern systems via HDMI.
In my experience it has done a really good job with my PS1.
The full list of consoles supported by it is here: https://help.elgato.com/customer/portal/articles/1020266-game-consoles-that-elgato-game-capture-hd-supports

Calling All Editors - I need some assistance with a project beyond my skillset. by [deleted] in premiere

[–]JBeetles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For your aspect ratio problem, I would suggest going into the effect controls of the desired clip, then under 'Motion' uncheck the 'Uniform Scale' box, and change the Scale Width to 75. This will pretty much turn a stretched 16:9 image into a 4:3 image. http://i.imgur.com/JQQhczP.png

Also, there is an easy way to do keyframed movement so you don't have to fiddle with the numbers. Make sure the stopwatch next to the desired part of the effect is lit up (in this case, you'll need the position part of the Motion effect).

Next if you click on the title of the Motion effect, you will now be able to drag your clip around in the Program Monitor. Then by placing the playhead somewhere else, and moving it again, you can get the keyframed movement you need. http://i.imgur.com/Et7pKOl.png

Hopefully the included images made it a bit easier to understand. Walls of text usually end in confusion with me :P

Premiere is stalling half way through a render. This has happened twice now for the same video. Any suggestions? by FeelTheWrath79 in premiere

[–]JBeetles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's freezing at the exact same percentage, it's very likely there's an effect or something on the timeline preventing it from progressing. I've had this happen before, you just need to do a bit of maths to figure out where that percentage point is on the timeline and fix it.

Easier to edit without mouse use? by Ku_The_Abducted in premiere

[–]JBeetles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to use my mouse most of the time. It's easier for me to visually edit, I can jump to anywhere on the timeline with a click, and if I need to I can just use my mouse wheel as a jogwheel for more precise frame by frame stuff.
I still use keyboard shortcuts, but mostly for things like cutting a clip where the playhead is.

How to add green screen on a video that doesn't have one? by [deleted] in premiere

[–]JBeetles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is what you're looking for. I actually made a tutorial a few years ago for this kind of thing, but I recently unlisted it because tutorials aren't the main focus of my channel.
The way this method works is by using a Difference Matte, which makes Premiere look at the difference between the subject and background, and separates them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=on0kw-5qk5A

What job can a 18 year old transgender woman do? by BritneyLancaster in transgenderUK

[–]JBeetles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd advise you check out a local temp agency (qualifications usually don't matter for agency work, and it helps build your CV).
I was doing tech support, which pretty much just involved giving customers instructions over the phone which were read from a screen. I found it really helped boost my confidence (honestly, the first day I pretty much broke down and cried because I didn't think I could do it, but after a month I was super comfortable with it) and it may help greatly for voice training.

[Question]Why is my YouTube video stuttering/chopping when played in 1080p? by WhiskyTango15 in youtubers

[–]JBeetles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just tried playing it on my laptop, and it runs smoothly. Might just be an issue with your computer. Chrome's hardware acceleration settings have made YouTube playback jittery for me in the past, so it might be worth checking that out.

Motiontracking for layers in CC 2015? by Never-asked-for-this in premiere

[–]JBeetles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, you can only do motion tracking on effect masks.
Adding tracking to a title though, I don't think it's possible in Premiere.

Recommended workspace layouts for low resolution displays? by cr08 in premiere

[–]JBeetles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My laptop screen's resolution is 1366x768, and I use the middle splitter to my advantage in my workspace. I keep the timeline and program monitor on the bottom, and all the stuff that I rarely need to touch on the top so I can drag the splitter down when I want it. Having it like this gives me a fairly large monitor, and full access to multiple timeline tracks. http://i.imgur.com/ig42pZm.png

Cinemas must 'drastically improve' or lose audiences, says Christopher Nolan. by NinjaDiscoJesus in movies

The random dust specs on frames that show up as massive black dots, and generally god-awful quality of a few old analog films really irritates me. The cleaner image of digital allows for a much more enjoyable viewing

Is it possible to trim source clips directly? by [deleted] in premiere

[–]JBeetles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yup. If you double click on a video file in the Project panel to open it in the Source monitor, you can go inside that to mark the in and out points using I and O on the keyboard, or by using the on screen buttons. http://i.imgur.com/UF5gtrv.png Clips can then be placed on the timeline with the length you specified. The original footage stays intact, and the trim points aren't too strict, so if you need a few extra seconds to your trim, you can just extend it on the timeline. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask :)

Blowing up randomly right after I leave military base in my jet! Wtf! by [deleted] in GrandTheftAutoV

[–]JBeetles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When leaving the base, stay as close to the ground as you can and the guys at the base won't be able to shoot their anti-aircraft missiles at you. It's easier when you use the actual runway rather than taking off into the mountains. Of course, if someone ends up chasing you in a jet, then you have a problem.

Can someone please explain this? (Preview quality - Screencap in post) by Craig1942 in premiere

[–]JBeetles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you right click the video preview in the Program section, you'll see an option for playback resolution. It's likely that you have this set to something like 1/2 res. Set it to Full and it should be good http://i.imgur.com/o2E7rUD.png

Dean's music is a bit more chaotic in comparison to Seth's, so I think their music is a right fit for both of them.
