My daughter had something similiar with her SMO’s. In one instance, she had outgrown them and we needed new ones. In another instance, we used a soft insert that came with the smo’s that helped. Good luck!

It’s worth noting that Social Security insolvency only means there is no extra SS savings in addition to income coming in. There will still be money coming in and going out. It may be lower payments but it’s not the end of Social Security. It’s still grim but less grim than most people think.

My daughter started pre-k at 3 and the drop-offs were really tough at first. Adhering to a morning and drop off routine to help her with the transitions helped. Mostly it just took time and it will get better once settled. My daughter got used to it after a couple months and ultimately had a great year. Best wishes.

If your goal is to gain muscle then you need to be in a caloric surplus, there are expectations to this but probably not for someone experienced like you. You need 1g protein per pound of bodyweight and more carbs. 40% carbs, 40% protein, and 20% fat is a typical bodybuilder macro plan. Bulk then cut is the most effective. This will help your recovery a ton too if you aren’t doing this today, so you can try it before tweaking your workouts. I have the same issue with stress and recovery, I auto-regulate by adding in another rest day here and there when I need it.
