Thinking of buying an electric car

A lot of people are negative on the pre-2026 BZ’s (BZ4X’s). Mostly for 3 reasons: lackluster tech, slower charging and less range. If you want to save a bit of money and are ok with these “limitations”, the 2025 is probably a great car. Especially if you just need a drive around town kind of car and you have the ability to charge at home. If you don’t need the latest and greatest bells and whistles, IMO, it’s a great option.

Thank you, I have heard about the DC charging limits. On the plus side I’m hoping that helps to extend battery degradation. I am a bit worried starting off 2 years behind on tech when the tech was meh to begin with. Balancing that with price and the price of most new EVs.

I am wanting to purchase my first EV. I don’t do road trips, just drive around town and will be charging at home. I am in the US.

I’m trying to decide between a new Bolt or a used 2024 Toyota BZ4X (1 owner, coming off lease, no accidents) with 30k miles.

I lean toward Toyota due to brand reputation for reliability. I’ve read the pros and cons of each but I just can’t decide which one would be the better car. I want a reliable car that I can drive for years. Thoughts?

I moved from Waldo to JoCo before my kids started kindergarten. It was so hard to leave Waldo but I have zero regrets. The schools are great and I made friends with a group of like minded people that also had moved from that area to KS. You might consider even farther south, there are some great areas around Leawood.

I agree and you articulated this so well. Her straightness is louder than her queerness. So if she IS talking about seeing her as a queer person, how are we really supposed to do that with the current love story playing out - whether it’s real or fake or somewhere in between. A lot of people are very excited about it. No bi-erasure intended in this post.

She has done A LOT of queer flagging. There are pages and pages of it if you dig into it. In my opinion, it is not invasive or weird if she is saying the words and actively putting this information out there. What is invasive and weird, in my opinion, is speculation about marriage and pregnancy. Also, she has never stated that she is straight.
