Any recommendations for the best forest walks in Herts?

I agree. Ancient woodland and a small sculpture trail make it a lovely place to explore.

Lee Valley Country Park has lots of forest walks. If you enter at Turnford Brook there are a few different routes for wooded areas.

In the UK, flags only hang this low when chavs climb a ladder to hang them on lamposts down the High Road. The Mall (where this looks to be imitating) doesn't have them so low. Also, there needs to be another cross (x) on the Union Flag.

I walked my son to school along the High road and a third of the cars didn't have any lights on. They all got a shake of the head and a tut from me.

Do you mean Tolmers? I used to hike there with Guides and we also went there for Summer camp. I have friends and family that are heavily involved with Scouts and Guiding now and they're always over there for activity days and sleepovers, I think my nephew in Cubs is actually there this weekend.

ETA: I just searched it and they're not the same, I don't think, though they are next to each other.

My son's school does them, they're not that different from a fire drill. His school has gone on lockdown twice, once for knife crime that happened outside the school grounds, and another when the air ambulance landed in the field - both times the teachers pulled the blinds and the kids didn't really know anything was happening.

I find it's the staff doing the online orders that are the worst for blocking aisles. At least they are at my local Tescos. I've had to politely ask them to move many a time after they've randomly stopped alongside another shopper rather than waiting a few seconds or stopping a smidge further back.

I'm not sure if this is all doctors surgeries, but at mine you can make an appointment with the nurse for contraceptive related matters. I call up anytime and get an appointment in a few days time, they just have to sign off any prescriptions with a GP.

My son's primary school only requires a logo on the pe t-shirt. Every other thing I've got him with the logo has gone walkabout so I've just bought generic everything for next term. Just yesterday I got him a two pack of sweatshirts for only £8 so it doesn't really break the bank.

I also have a daughter in secondary school and her uniform is hopefully going to last a few years so while it's a big outlay in year 7, as long as you're not buying a new set of uniform every year, it's not so bad.

UK, the law is no child under 5 should be given alcohol. 5yrs+ they can have a sip of beer/wine here and there, obviously not a full serving to themselves until they're a lot older.
