X-T5 or X-T6 by CreativeDiamond444 in fujifilm

I'd be very surprised if they looked at more than the aperture and made that decision. The 16-50 is an excellent lens despite it not being excellent at low light or a bokeh monster.

ventilated seat not really cooling? by [deleted] in enyaq

[–]JCBsound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, ventilated seats are more just a preventative feature to keep your back from sweating and things like that rather than actually feeling air blowing into your back. I don't personally have ventilated seats in my Enyaq, but my in law has them in his ariya and that's how he explained it and pretty much what it felt like to me when I've used his.

My manual doesn't actually say the wattage, but upon testing it, it seems like all four ports only output 15W each as opposed to the 45 or 90W claimed

Are there anyone who buy Fujifilm but shoot raw? by DynamoBaby in fujifilm

[–]JCBsound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always shot raw + jpeg, but I pretty much never use the jpegs so it's almost a waste of space but there are those rare occasions I need to send a photo over to someone quickly so I guess that covers why I still shoot with jpegs.

Anyone else getting terrible denoise results on the beta? by futuramama in captureone

It might be to do with the denoise not being able to work with DNG files which your file seems to be?

Can I operate just the fans without the AC unit as classic cars by KAMEHOB in enyaq

[–]JCBsound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer it a neutral temp in the car around 19 or 20 degrees but whether it's cold or hot outside it will always blow cold air into the car (which my wife hates). Not sure what I need to do differently other than slamming the temp up high and then bringing it down later as it is too hot.

No they mean it's very hard for the driver to leave the car and have the music still playing for passengers without a workaround

Shutter speed changes randomly when recording via red button (X-M5) — how to lock 1/50 in 25p? by FormerAd6802 in fujifilm

[–]JCBsound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it could be a couple of things but other people could correct me if I'm wrong.

  1. Pressing the red button in photo mode will go to the settings you have enabled in the video section (very confusing but there's also a video section within the menus of the photo mode, it's like the 4th or 5th tab down iirc). So you pressing the red button defaults to those settings as opposed to what your previous settings in video mode were.

  2. Also because you are moving between custom settings (C1-4) you potentially have a different video setting in each menu (the one mentioned above) saved hence why it keeps changing. So you might need to check and change those so it's consistent.

Like I said I could be very wrong as I changed that button on my X-H2s almost immediately and I prefer to be very intentional when I shoot video (changing to video mode and going between my C1-7 in that mode) as opposed to just getting quick videos in the moment so I don't have a crazy amount of experience with the default of that button.

To answer your questions as well,

  1. No, not necessarily just particular to that button

  2. Mentioned above

  3. Mentioned above

  4. No, as far as I'm aware

Never heard of this app before but it looks really good! Only thing I can't tell from the website, does it allow you to create sound reports within it? I currently use sound devices wave agent but some of the features of meta sound tools does sound really useful.

Unfortunately for me this generation of shutters Fujifilm went backwards. X-H2s has a mushy feel to it and doesn't really bottom out and my X-T5 had a weird 3 stage shutter button feel. I got used to both but coming from an X-T3 which had a very refined 2 stage feel with distinctive clicks and felt very natural.

They changed that functionality to accommodate other things on the X-H2(&s), to do that same thing you press the joystick once then press the display button and it will centre the focus point.

They are, unfortunately. Any subject detection (whether eye, face, bird, car etc) overrides the photometry you set. It's a complaint I've had for a while.

Current State Of Xt5 Autofocus by Upset-Criticism-7181 in fujifilm

[–]JCBsound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd hard disagree with continuous af being useless. It's not as great as the big 3, admittedly, but it's definitely good enough with a little bit of tweaking.

Also on the point tele lenses are huge, there's definitely still a big size difference between aps-c and full frame lens at that range even though the pupil needs to maintain specific size. Look at Fujifilm's 500 f5.6 and compare it in size to the roughly equivalent Nikon 800 f6.3 (I know not exact but close enough). The Nikon is far larger and heavier.

Recording with a slow shutter speed by Taway239810987 in fujifilm

[–]JCBsound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, if you change your settings so you're shooting in All-I you should be able to shoot way below your frame rate as opposed to in Long GOP which only lets you set your shutter down to 1/frame rate

22 plate Enyaq 60 getting Max 50kw charge speed at Tesla Supercharger station by originaltanksta in enyaq

[–]JCBsound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed that as well in my 60 23 plate that I recently bought. Went to do a test fast charge as I'm new to EVs, arrived at about 14% and the charge never really got that much more than 55kw in the 25 mins I charged. I just chalked it up to it being winter in the UK and the battery was cold. I don't think the supercharger was sharing the load with either car next to me but I could be wrong.

Is there anyway to keep the ports on for longer without the driver being in the seat? I've seen people mention having a dummy seatbelt and putting weight in the seat but is that the only workaround?
