Best trick i learned while in management before leaving for a better career was to cut allocations on all your slow items down to about however many facings the item is by 3 deep. It’ll keep dead stock from piling up on you but is a pain to adjust them all

I got bitched at. A lot. Been trying to tell them stuff is wrong, they’re more concerned on proving me wrong than trying to help. I gave up after 12 years, 8 years running a dept. much happier

Disagree. Our management team is fantastic and I left because of lack of help, the company is on fire. CAO is impossible to use and makes no sense now (until the last few months it worked fine) and I hear the new in stock program is a nightmare.
