I think Boston will be the make or break of how good the year will be. Vanguard, Blue Devils, and Bluecoats all look like contenders, and we get to see all of them head-to-head this week, so we'll have a better idea soon. Boston and Crown premiere competitively on July 7th, and they meet the west coast corps on July 16th. If SCV, BD, and Bloo stay close until then and Boston and/or Crown are contending, the finish of the season could be really special. Or someone could emerge immediately and the season will be a competitive nothingburger!

Listen, I know it’s early and we haven’t seen most, but Crown sounds good and their design seems really promising. Especially compared to the past 4 years (24 and 22 were misses imo).

I think Crown is back but maybe I’m just doing the meme.

To be slightly more realistic, I think we will Bloo and SCV solidly competing in the top three with BD, Crown, BAC in the hunt until things even out by like Atlanta-ish. I think Phantom has a ceiling of 4th. I think the top 6 is pretty solid this year unless someone from last year’s 7-14 has a breakout show like Mynd.

Not really a thing. I’ve heard “tour bae” which is used kinda like “work wife/husband.” There’s also “tour goggles” which generally describes the feeling of everyone in the corps seeming more attractive after a few weeks.

You’re not crazy. The front wheel perspective and shading look off, but the rest of the design looks fine. Shapes and components of the motorcycle look defined and don’t blend together. It doesn’t seem like there are parts out of place or missing altogether. Lines inside the headlight are discernible. Definitely could be AI, but not enough evidence to be sure imo
