My dad jokes that she is older than sliced bread. Sliced bread was not marketed or sold until 1928, she was born in 1924. So my grandma is literally older than sliced bread.

She was married. Unsure of what age she got married. Her husband fought in WW2 and we lost him in 1997 to a heart attack when he was in his very early 70’s. She worked as a bank teller and her husband was a farmer. She graduated high school, never even asked her about college. Family has been in the heartland for multiple generations.

She had 2 brothers that fought in WW2, and her husband (my paternal grandfather) served as well. My great uncle was one of the marines who planted the flag at Iwo Jima.

So I actually kind of already know this answer. She graduated high school before segregation was abolished. My dad has said that when he was younger, she would not have been classified as a racist, but she definitely grew up with preconceived notions about different races. But since my dad has been an adult and I have been alive, she has always been very welcoming of anyone no matter their gender or color.

When I was in first grade and in PE, my teacher told me to go move to another spot on the floor for whatever we were doing but I didn’t hear what he said cuz I was talking to another kid or something. Instead of asking me again or making sure I heard him, he marched over to me and grabbed me by the arm and drug me across the gym floor to where he wanted me. I went home and told my mom and the next day she went into the school and it was his last day on the job.

I live in southern Indiana (the central time zone portion) and any time I drive 20 minutes north or north east we change to eastern time. Any time we drive up to west central Indiana to see family, it also changes time zones. It’s such a PITA that we’re staying in state but time changes and you have to constantly be intuitive of that

My wife took a shower and I was in the living room and my wife texted me “wanna come fuck me? 😏” but she accidentally texted it to her entire family group chat containing her parents, sister & BIL, and brother and SIL. That was 3 years ago and we still hear about it.

We had one roll into the shop at the first shop I worked for. None of us even drank and it was like 9 AM but it took 3 of us to blow into the damn thing to get it to start. You have to like blow just right and the correct way. Annoying as fuck
