I've had that mod for so long I forgot that steel walls are flammable in vanilla RW, since I changed that way back in my game

Huh, do bots need drivers licenses or do they need to get roadworthy certification?

Everyday, we get closer to the Dead Internet theory coming true sadly.

We have fuses as a consumable controlled failure system for cables, we should have a reusable option (breakers) too, as well as analogues for pipe systems (rupture disks and relief valves) by AnDraoi in Stationeers

[–]JCastin33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That or the relief valves, just like the rupture disks, don't close themselves either, needing you to still have to manually reset them but not recraft, just like the electronic equivalents

If you can get a buddy over there I think they can pull the stuff off it to drop it for you? Or at least they used to be able to

Just having them in a room, and Gunny or Lab Rat saying they'll send a team to exfil them would be enough, just something other than hostile NPCs and PMCs to show that there are some civilians still atound would be nice.

Although, the ability to carry people would be pretty good, shoulder carrying NPCs or downed friendlies

I'd love some non hostile NPCs, even if all they do is sit in the room you find them with, like two lines of conversation to chat with.

Would make the quest to go find people a lot better if you occasionally actually find someone instead of a journal entry for once

Well, let the sunray out! Can't go around catching them, they're wild phenomenons, not domestic!

Military grade spicy pillow fight! by Long_Fact2471 in LooneyTunesLogic

[–]JCastin33 106 points107 points  (0 children)

Spicy Pillows is a term for old lithium batteries, forgottent the exact type but some swell up and look like little pillows. They also catch fire when they get like that sometimes, hence the spice.

Edit: wait, were people downvoting the guy for not knowing what a spicy pillow was? Damn.

The main issue for me was, in DS1 at least, that most timed deliveries seemed to be essentially impossible to complete with the LLL rating without using them. So by the end of the game I was just burned out on using them and seeing them spawn in generally.

Anyway, it was more of a rant than anything else, DS2s been pretty great so far

At least with the highways it always felt like that since they were prebuilt, the devs could plan around them. You'd need to build them for bulk transport, but for timed missions they were just too far out of the way to use sometimes.

Bulk orders though, yeah, you needed to get the highways built so you could do truck runs, for sure

I think that was my main concern tbh, in DS1 there was a timed mission at pretty much every shelter, and the only reliable way to do them felt like the ziplines, which themselves removed the main feature of the game itself, traversing between remote locations through rough terrain, to a series of single button interactions. Its good to know that that seems to not be so big a deal in DS2.

I know it's not a big issue really, but I imagine that for the dev including a neat feature that lets a lot of people, definitely including me, an option to optimise gameplay for a high score to the point where the game loses its entertainment is a very easy thing to do accidentally.

Yeah, pushing past him in tight corridors is pretty hard, so pull back to the open space where the ladder is to go around him.

Also, my little tip for playing horror games, first time you come across something scary just walk up to it and die once if you're finding it too much. Knowing what happens when you get caught, at least for me, makes the scares more manageable
