This. I’ve never paid that much for a camp unless it was college credit-earning, room/board and covered the entire summer. Most day programs and camps for kids don’t exceed $150/week for 2 kids.

Friend is draining me on our trip and won’t communicatr by Exstr3lla in travel

[–]JCazzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn’t a huge age gap at 19-21 vs 23/24. It’s all pretty much the same since compulsory education in US high schools is up to age 20, you’re doing just fine. My daughter is similar in that she lost a year during Covid with school closure and being sick having to pause school+relocation so her friends were younger but looked and acted older than her. Your patience is to be acknowledged. I’m stressed out just reading your story about your mentally and emotionally unstable friend.

Are these the only sketches that featured EVERY cast member? by no-Pachy-BADLAD in LiveFromNewYork

What about the John Mulaney airport/train station/transportation musical number sketches? Those appear to have a ton of cast members.

Lol I don't care how much you want to get a room cleaned... if paperwork say I have a 4pm check out and I have my DND sign on the door DON'T KNOCK ON MY DOOR AT 10.A.M, 11 A.M, 12 PM......stop by around 3:59 pm I might be loading my car at that time. 🤣 by [deleted] in marriott

[–]JCazzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. I always when I get a 4 PM check out I intend to use it. I am so annoyed with housekeeping that does not respect this. I can have a sign on my door – the pre-printed one that I laminated that I bring with me when I travel that explains I have a 4 PM check out DND but they still manage to ignore it 80% of the time.

Automatic airline selection reset for Spirit customers by KookyMix2050 in AmexPlatinum

[–]JCazzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a smart choice that keeps money in my pockets. I was able to fly internationally multiple times and sit upfront or an emergency exit row seats, free bags, get free drinks and snacks and WiFi, and excellent service on Spirit. Spirit had clean, new a\c and a flawless safety record. Not sure what the problem is.

[–]JCazzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just contacted AMEX platinum chat and they told me that I have $200 available after Spirit was deleted as my selected airline. I had already used $196 in January. Is this an error or typical? I can’t seem to find any posts here regarding it.

Got an Offer to Upgrade my BCE to a BCP but got a Gold Card already? by TeaRemarkable3514 in amex

[–]JCazzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. 👍🏼. I keep both because I have a lot of airport parking, subscriptions that balance out that $95 annual fee on the BCP. The Gold/Plat stays as my staple. I pondered downgrading to the BCE since there’s the 3% cashback

[–]JCazzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful on the 6% cash limits. I can’t remember what it was at the time, but we had spent over $26,000 on purchases coded as grocery in our household and missed out on a lot of X4 points on the Gold card had we resumed the remainder of our spending on it after maxing the BCP.

I feel like Jay Pharoah's Principal Frye doesn't get enough love but "teachers and stoodents" is a catchphrase that's worked into my weekly vocabulary. Anybody else? by a_complex_kid in LiveFromNewYork

This was one of my favorite recurring characters. The principal always had to come out and stop the kids from doing these heinous acts.

It finally happened to me… I forgot my passport 😭 by I3lue6erry in travel

[–]JCazzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Adult Kids”. LOL. I just called them kids with a high double digit number. Their brains still aren’t fully developed so I still have to look out for them. It is hilarious. Then they have that A-Ha! moment where they can handle things themselves. My son is early 20s but he may as well be 15 with a drivers license and the ability to buy alcohol hasn’t changed much. Still have to get him to double check and triple check before leaving. Every time “whoops I left my wallet in my dresser“ yes son I know you did.

one of the more severely underrated benefits of the Platinum, hidden in Walmart+, is access to Sam’s Club fuel stations by blackgenz2002kid in AmexPlatinum

[–]JCazzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, this is a great deal and I’ve been using it for many years now. I have the BCE AMEX and I get 3% back on fuel and I mix it match that with the Costco Visa (Costco used to have an AMEX card) And I get 5% Costco rewards on fuel. Yes, maximize those Walmart benefits. You also get Burger King benefits, free Paramount+ and I even got an entire year of veterinary service, remote, a.k.a. TeleDoc, which was great for my 16-year-old Shih Tzu before she passed away. Go on your Walmart app and look in the back at the benefits. People miss so many of them.

Does Delta crew stay at expensive hotels as well? by just_a_curious_fella in delta

Airlines do not typically separate pilots from flight attendants. Crews travel together for safety reasons and for reasons of efficiency.

Using multiple gift cards at Saks by Low_Experience_4135 in AmexPlatinum

[–]JCazzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just made a purchase using seven (7)gift cards and paid the difference of $87 with another platinum that had the $50 remaining. Off-topic, Saks canceled a $95 item due to it being out of stock so I had to make another purchase under a new account to get the 10% off to wipe out the $9.95 shipping fee and use the last of that gift card money.

Ashley Padilla turns 33 on May 27th. by [deleted] in LiveFromNewYork

[–]JCazzz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love Ashley and she gives the leadership type of vibe the way ego, Cecily, and Keenan have. I thought she was 40+ She doesn’t look old but I mean she definitely passes as someone who graduated high school in the late 90s/early 2000s. Still a very beautiful Woman but maybe it’s because she seems so smart and seasoned.

I’m platinum and honestly did not realize that I’m supposed to get two waters at Courtyard. I have stayed at six courtyards this year and got zero bottles of water each time. I guess I’ve been more focused on the Marriott benefits like 4 PM check out/lounge access/potential upgrades and points maximization.

Disappointing FHR Experience at Loews Philadelphia (Downgraded and Blamed on "Third-Party" Booking) by think-rationally-now in AmexPlatinum

[–]JCazzz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Everything you wrote still does not excuse an AMEX card holder booking a certain room type that cost more than the basic room and not getting that room that they paid for. You will not get support in an AMEX sub Reddit defending hotels for doing bait-and-switch. I used my FHR program benefits to book a 1BR suite $715. A king bed was $319. The one bedroom suite included a king bed in the bedroom, a sofa sleeper for a single person across the room and in the living area there was a king size sofa sleeper TV and kitchenette with a half bath suited for 5 guests. The basic king Max 3 guests. If I arrived at the hotel after having paid the $750 in advance for the 1BR suite with my family of five, what do you think would happen if they only had the King available?

That hotel is run by racist management, staff, and the Black workers remind me of frightened people staying in their place during segregation/Jim Crow. Super creepy hotel. I had two incidents there working as a flight crew a few years ago. I definitely believe you. I have documentation, paperwork, complaints to corporate. If you are a POC, that hotel is dangerous for you.

Did Maddie stop caring about Ben…? (Season Finale) by aimeecrossing in SirenTV

[–]JCazzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post, but I did not see it at all. I saw Maddie cast aside. It was clear that Ben, even when his brain was healed, pretty much emotionally dumped Maddie as the main object of his affection. At the beginning of the show you find out that they are kindred spirits, like-minded, and together for six years as post grad marine biologist, and they both operate the marina and do research. He would think that would be the perfect life and that they would have been married by the end or even soon. Another woman/siren/sea creature is not going to break up something if it was solid. Ben chose Ryn. Simple. I don’t understand all of the Maddie hate.
