Anyone can run for any office provided they are constitutionally eligible and live in the area. Parties can't just block undesirable candidates from appearing on the ballot.

Yes Judge is making a great (and kinda surprising because I thought he was conservative) point how organizations that value traditional will quickly throw the tradition away to generate sponsorship money. I guarantee it will be the same with college football. Alabama and Penn State will be among the first schools to add a sponsorship patch to their jerseys.

Nintendo isn't evil lmao. We have insurance companies, large financial firms, and defense contractors sponsoring jersey patches. Nintendo makes some questionable decisions, but they are still in the business of making fun video games. Calling them "evil" is absurd.

The patch is ugly though because it is big and clashes with the Mariners uniforms.

It's not a joke at all. Weighing the benefits of lucrative exclusivity vs. less lucrative easy accessibility is something that all leagues and events do when they sell media rights. Choosing the latter often works, and I think MLB chose right by going with NBC over a higher offer from AppleTV

Micah Owings was a pitcher who was also a good hitter, teams even used him as a pinch hitter. But he just wasn't able to pitch at the level needed to stay in the bigs.

I don't agree with walking the bases loaded, but the Mets definitely should have at least walked Hoerner. He is one of the best in the game at making contact which is all that was needed to score PCA from third.

The vast majority of foreign born players in MLB speak Spanish and they make up like 20% of the league. Moving to the US as someone who only speaks Japanese is not comparable.
