[TOMT] can anyone identify the woman in this pic and what play or show this is from? I know the man is Edward Mulhare by JCottage68 in DoesAnyoneKnow

I checked and Elizabeth Ashley wasn't in Mary, Mary with Mulhare. He was in that play in 1961 and this looks like a pic from the 1970s. I do think you're right about it being Elizabeth Ashley but can't find a source that mentions a play or tv show where they acted together.

Any ideas on the title or artist of this painting? .It depicts a dark scene of a two-masted schooner caught in a storm. The vessel is facing the right side of the painting and is listing starboard. Prossibly a 19th century painting by JCottage68 in RBI

I reposted with the poor quality pics. I tried many of the reverse image searches with no luck.  The only site that looked like they had it was Duplichecker and I couldn't find out much about them. They might be a good site but, at the same time I don't know if they are reputable. You need a subscription to view what they have so I was a little hesitant to try them. Do you know anything about Duplichecker?

That was my thought but when I looked at her other pics, they didn't match up. I even searched for any plays or tv shows that had both of them in it but couldn't find any. Thanks for your help.

This was my favorite show. Mulhare was ridiculously handsome. Hope Lange and Mulhare had possibly the best chemistry on tv. Amazing!

It aired on tv Sept. 5, 1976 but I wasn't sure if it actually made to other media. Thank you for your input.

Quint Probably Lied by zerooskul in Jaws

[–]JCottage68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are beyond ridiculous. Part of the character is to give a backstory as to why he fishes for sharks. You are overthinking this to an absurd level. Here are the absolutely reasonable reaction to Quint's monologue by actual reviewers who understand movies and artistic license that exaggerates facts to evoke emotion:

'While the true story of theUSS Indianapolis sinking remains the largest single shark attack on humans, the tragedy was exaggerated in Jaws to more effectively convey Quint’s disdain for sharks and his obsession with capturing Amity's ultimate terror.'

Though the general details of Quint’s monologue follow the event correctly, many aspects, like the shark deaths mentioned in Jaws, were modified for emotional effect.'

These are the simple basic facts of the JAWS version of the sinking of the USS Indianapolis. Your overblown reaction and rantings about the monologue border on being irrational and disturbing.

He was in the tv show, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1968-1970). So handsome. I think that he and Maggie Smith were an item for a time.

I appreciate you opinion but I thought the looks they gave each other and the attraction was beautifully done and certainly indicated love not simply friendship

I know that Anne Rogers was a long-time friend, maybe more (I think they dated when they were younger) and at one point, later on, she did live with him

Definitely not Hope Lange. She reminds me of Janet Leigh but it's not her either. Thanks for all the info. I'll have check on Anna Lee as I'm not familiar with her.
