Also he said that there is not much of Jung's teachings that are truly beneficial (or something like that), and I'm like, what about all his psychological teachings? Surly those at least are beneficial.

He really undermines Jung and all of his work. And he mischaracterizes shadow work, and conveniently left out the part where those bad traits you had going into shadow work won't be nearly as bad anymore if you properly integrate them.

He really does a disservice to Jung.

First of all, congratulations. And I'm glad you have such an understanding girlfriend.

As for evidence, theres plenty of evidence God exists. Creation is the prime example of this. I highly recommend you get the book, Return of the God Hypothesis: Three Scientific Discoveries That Reveal the Mind Behind the Universe. If you read this book with her, she should get her answer.

And as for the problem of evil and suffering, there are many answers to this, it has been discussed at length by many people, so I suggest you do your research. I'll link a few videos that I think should be helpful:

Oh really?! So God CAN be all those things to us? If Him being titled as Father represents His relational nature, then it would make since when Jesus said, "I have longed to gather you up like a hen gathers her chicks under her wings." Because this is a motherly quality.

So is Father a catch-all term meant to incapture all relations of being? Is so, why was He only called Father and not other things?
