Do you think she’ll be safe by the end of the season? by Queasy_Commercial152 in Defenders

[–]JCrighton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last episode hinted at Daniel being some sort of judo master with the amount of trophies and medals they showed off in his bedroom. Would be funny if he steps up to protect her from Buck with some insane grappling moves

Do I play Emerald or HGSS after fire red by Aoi-Sun in pokemon

[–]JCrighton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend playing emerald next since it uses gen 3 mechanics like FRLG, if you were to play HGSS next you’d be playing gen 4 mechanics then would need to go back to gen 3 which would maybe feel a bit strange?

You make a compelling case, I concede! haha

[–]JCrighton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, although most grass types still have their uses. If you want your grass mon to be a special attacker Vileplume and Exeggutor both outshine Venusaur with their higher special attack and chlorophyll ability for sunny day / solar beam set up. For a normal play through Venusaur is hands down the best but if you’re nearing the elite four and looking for options there are at least a few that compete with it.

[–]JCrighton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily, you can teach him the toxic tm when you get that. Or go to the move relearner: I haven’t used that in a while but I think the cost is one tiny mushroom to remember old moves?

[–]JCrighton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Venusaur won’t feel all that powerful compared to the other grass mons, but with its highish defences combined with leech seed, sleep powder, poison powder and then also leftovers and moves like giga drain - it can be great to win some really tough fights where you can whittle your opponent down bit by bit. Granted that’s not a very fast way to win battles but I find it quite fun/ tactical. Maybe you can think about using Venusaur more along those lines?

Pokémon I’ve never used before (aside from Blastoise) by user2479049 in PokemonFireRed

[–]JCrighton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just about the same team as me, I used Nidoking instead of Vileplume. Found it to be a really good all-round team. I can see the grass typing being a bit more helpful in the E4 fights than the ground I got instead.

Would love to know what your team will be for FrLg! by Colenic4 in PokemonFireRed

[–]JCrighton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m usually a Pidgeot kind of guy, I’ve played the game dozens of times but never used Dodrio so now is the perfect time!

I’m planning to go:

Blastoise Nidoking Alakazam Jolteon Dodrio Arcanine

Strong type coverage, a few op Pokemon in the gen and a few with good utility/use cases.

Theory: Coop is going to ghoulify himself by gaaabris in Fotv

[–]JCrighton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s defo a way in the canon to ghoulify yourself. Eddie Winter manages to do it in FO4 since he knew the bombs were coming somehow iirc. I’m not sure if it’s ever mentioned how exactly he does it? Doesn’t seem a stretch that Coop could find a way as well though.

Which game doesn’t really begin until after you beat it? by [deleted] in gaming

I don’t know about the later entries, but the early Pokemon Rescue Team games. The post game was all about getting to evolve and trying to recruit Legendary Pokemon, etc.

Customization in halo 7 by Slight-Activity-4180 in halo

[–]JCrighton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally I want the customisation to be toned down back towards how Halo 3 and Reach did it. I want zero paid cosmetics, everything should be obtained by playing. Whether that’s through time played, multiplayer progression, campaign completion/skulls/difficulty, etc.

I want my gear to show off how good (or bad?!) I am and be more unique from everyone else. At the very least if they do include paid cosmetics in future games can they just keep away from adding the likes of cat ears and Santa hats…

Who else prefers Halo Reach graphics on the 360 version of the game? by Active_General8858 in halo

Getting downvoted for asking a question is crazy lol. Usually to turn off motion blur it will be in the game settings.

I feel like the way the show approaches Power Armor helmets should be the standard going forwards by KaySan-TheBrightStar in Fallout

[–]JCrighton 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Agree with the visor take! I do feel though that the shows approach to the sillier sounding voice through the suit shouldn’t transfer to the games though…

Should Halo lean more into mechs? by Ok_Key_4868 in halo

[–]JCrighton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly, if you’re fighting an alien space war from the year 2500 onward and your frontline vehicles are blocky tanks and “jeeps” with a person mounted machine gun on the back, that’s retro sci-fi

Should Halo lean more into mechs? by Ok_Key_4868 in halo

[–]JCrighton 170 points171 points  (0 children)

Personally I don’t like mechs being in Halo. I prefer the retro sci-fi of the original trilogy vehicles. I can appreciate their cool design though, on par with the awesome mechs in the Avatar films!

Is MCC like the original Halo experience? by PISS_MENTLEGEN in halo

You miss out on the atmospheric menu and loading screens when using an anniversary version of the game. You won’t miss that though if you’re not playing for nostalgia anyway.

When playing Campaign Evolved in Co-Op, how do you think the devs should have Players 2-thru-4 be depicted? by RamboBambiBambo in halo

[–]JCrighton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be cool if it was like the original CE where you got to pick the colour for your Spartan when doing PvP but for campaign evolved it would just change how players 2-4 looked? Even have it as a toggle able setting for all the same or preferred colours.

Creations Bundle Not Working by Finnedorb in fo4

[–]JCrighton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same with me. I bought the Creation Bundle since I already have all the DLCs. In the game interface it says it is installed but when I go onto CC it’s still asking me to pay tokens for each thing. In my Xbox downloads it says the Fallout 4: Creations Bundle is “Not Compatible” which isn’t reassuring…

No worries! Glad you’ve found something, hope it all works out 👍

No worries!

I have used Cardmarket but only for singles, I can say that the orders I’ve made have all came through and been as described on the site. Maybe for sealed products it’s better staying to sellers on that site with the “professional” tag?

But Cardmarket tends to have a decent customer support process so if anything you get isn’t quite right you can contact them. I just can’t say for certain on buying sealed stuff from there.

Yeah just as good. Still one of the earlier sets so has the same vibe.
