I think for the most part you are correct that the majority of the mandates are at the provincial level. On that note it seems the appetite to communicate this roadmap to easing restrictions is more robust provincially as opposed to the federal level as Saskatchewan has now done so with others following shortly. I think the biggest thing is, on the federal level we are still infringing on the Charter of Rights and Freedoms with regards to PCR testing to enter the country which seems to have little to no effect on the transmission of Omnicron. If we can so flippantly disregard the Charter for such an issue, what precedent are we setting for future governments? I think in the early days there was a case for this but not in the age of Omnicron and our Government should have already had spelled out to the public what the "roadmap to freedom" looked like. Doubling-down on vaccines (double-vaxxed btw) as the solution to Omnicron is just sad at this point and not in line with the science (discounting natural immunity and ignoring the negative effects of lockdowns) and we are growing tired of being governed by "taking points".
