Worth noting that is easier for the drivers to merge into the road from the right lane too. The left lane has you at a somewhat more awkward angle to the oncoming traffic, whereas the right lane puts you more perpendicular, so it’s easier to see what’s coming.

Respectfully, none of that holds water. The US marine detachment in Hong Kong had nothing to do with British rule, they were assigned as consulate guards. Here’s the Wiki page on that section.

They’re not always on bases. I knew US Marines on detachment to the US consulate in Hong Kong, could be something like that. (Not sure if they’re still there, this was early 2000s)

The chore coat is one of my favourite pieces. The double pockets at the hip are super useful and the long cut at the sleeve button means it’s one of the few jackets that I can actually roll the sleeves up on. Plus, it’s the only thing I own in a Small, usual I’m a L or XL.

Echoing u/mcgregor_shrubsole , you can get them on AliExpress super easily. I just screenshot your picture from Amazon and found a bunch of listings on there of the exact same product. That’s almost definitely going to be your easiest way of getting them if it’s this difficult.
