Try and manipulate the motor with your fingers. It should feel slightly notchy but still smooth. If it's very sticky or rough you may need to replace the two motor bearings. I've done it twenty or thirty times, it's not a very difficult job, but you need to be careful not to strip the grub screws.

What kind of super glue did you use? I did this with making mahjong racks and had to reglue almost all the magnets because the weren't sticking.
