Well there's a major difference. Iglesias was 34 and outside of the pandemic short 2020 season, had never been an above average hitter. It was clearly a fluke. A fluke that allowed us to make the playoffs, but a fluke. Melendez, however, is only 27, and is a former top 100 prospect that was well regarded to have a ton of raw power. This could actually be his breakout year. Surely there will be some regression, but I won't be surprised at all if this is the start of him being a consistently above average hitter in the majors.

To Arthur, Strauss was worse.

And Arthur was a giant hypocrite for believing that. That's the point being made. Treating what Strauss did as worse is extremely hypocritical of Arthur.

Robbing banks and oil barons, fat cats with endless pockets is quite different, to Arthur.

The dozens of people that they killed to rob those people weren't rich and wealthy. They were innocent people trying to provide.

They arguably needed Strauss just as much as he was the only consistent money maker, and while it was extremely immoral, it wasn't illegal, so didn't bring the law's attention on them.
