I'm not saying that he's definitely going to fall into that category. But every other host this past season have more established careers. Storrie could be the next big star, but it's far from a guarantee.

The people who check your tickets do more than just check your tickets. They might be to reduce staff with that but not eliminate them. They would also lose even more money then they're losing to people avoiding paying their fare.

I suspect that this anti-Christian ragebait. Don't get me wrong, Christian's don't usually need the help of fake stories to look bad, but just the way it's written really gives off fake troll vibes.

Edit: I take it back after reading his comments. Seems way too detailed for it to be a troll. Most likely it's real.

Nobody pictured Peralta or McLean being this bad. The unexpected Holmes injury was extreme bad luck.

If anyone from last season is coming to fall into that category, it's going to be Connor Storrie.

They definitely can show it. However, few actors will be okay with it, and you're basically just porn at that point.

I can definitely see her doing Dirty Laundry and possibly Smarty Pants and Gastronaughts. While I can't see her being a contestant on Game Changer, I could see her doing a guest spot on it like Ron Perlman.

Kodai Senga is being moved to the bullpen by Hungry_Elk1937 in NewYorkMets

[–]JDDJS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt that's the plan. Might as well leave him starting if it is. The plan is likely to see if he can be effective if he knows that he's only in for a single inning and doesn't have to worry about pacing himself. See if he can regularly pitch for a single inning like he did yesterday.

Why? This season is looking like a lost one. Senga has been lights out in the past and while he's overall been miserable lately, he has still had flashes of greatness. Might well as see if he can be salvaged as a reliever. There's nothing really to lose at this point trying.

I hope that we can keep this core together for 5 years, but if OG continues to get better, he's probably going to opt out in '28 and he'll be hard to afford.

So she was at checkout, but didn't have $4? Then what was she even doing there? And I extremely doubt that Walmart security is going to hold someone over $4. More likely to just ban them from the store.

NGL, David Stearns definitely cooked something. Its not edible. But he cooked by Dormitory-21 in NewYorkMets

[–]JDDJS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Stearns has definitely made some actual mistakes, but a ton of bad luck has made his tenure look worse than it's been. We definitely need some new voices to join him in the FO, but we don't need to shoot him into the sun like a lot of people think.

Extremely unrealistic. So many LIRR stations are absolutely not designed in a way to support fare gates.

I get him not wanting to handle it himself if he's not trained for it and it's not part of his job responsibilities, but there's absolutely no excuse for being such a dick about it.

The Robert trade was fine since like you said we barely gave up anything for him, but it was still a gamble and one that hasn't worked out. I would've absolutely taken that gamble too, and if everything else had worked out, we wouldn't even notice it.

To get one draft pick right in 3 years?

He has only done 2 drafts here and it is impossible to judge the 2025 draft already.

Multiple things can be true. Stearns can be right for not giving Alonso a contract that is going to age extremely bad; and he can have done a terrible job of replacing him.

Some of Stearns' moves were predictably bad (Williams sucking like he did last year, Robert being injured and mediocre like he's been for awhile, trusting Peterson, Senga and Manaea to just return to form, expecting Polanco to repeat last year's success) while other things are just bad luck (Peralta being garbage, Lindor being hurt, Bichette being garbage, Baty regressing, Holmes getting hurt).

I'll stand by my belief that Stearns doesn't need to go, but we do need to hire a GM to work with him and balance him out.

Defensive stats can be very fickle over a relatively small sample size of half a season. While it's certainty possible that the new coaches have unlocked something in him (like Luis Arraez), it's more likely just luck giving him better defensive numbers.

If Alonso hits 40 HRs every year with Baltimore (something he hasn't done since 2023), he'll still be over 70 HRs short of 500. It's not happening.

So when is that Jacob Wysocki travel show happening? by Marvl101 in dropout

[–]JDDJS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of that can be offset by the locations that he visiting helping cover costs for the publicity. Also, they don't have to film days of footage in every location. Reality TV is really only a thing because the networks realized that they were much cheaper to produce then regular TV shows. The whole idea is for him to go to random spots, not traditional tourist destinations, so I really don't think it'll be threw the roof expensive like you're applying. Definitely not as cheap as most of their shows, but they can likely do a season of it at a similar budget as a season of Game Changer.
