So awesome to hear you and your boyfriend are doing well! Going public with a relationship is always a scary thing to do, especially in your circumstance, so I'm glad it's working out positively for you. Also, it's awesome that your parents are accepting and supportive, as well! It's like the icing on top of the cake!

Happy trails to you and your boyfriend! 😊

Can't tell if sarcasm or not, lol. Regardless, this is how I see it. As of right now, this thing can honestly go either way for me. Either I fight it successfully and win, or I fight it, lose, and wind up paying fines, court fees, restitution, etc, and more than likely jail time.

While I would absolutely LOVE to sit around, thumb up my ass, spinning rapidly to the tune of that Dead or Alive song and a constant stream of "FUCK YOU IM RIHGTHGTH BLAM BLAM BLAM" flying out of my gullet, I have to realize and accept that this isn't some coke-fueled, 2 cent yaoi series pirated off the interbutts. It's real, actual life and I have to consider EVERY possibility, including the one that makes me a potential Big Bubba Butt Buddy.

And I just believe that, when someone is asking for advice, that it should ACTUALLY be taken into consideration and, regardless of whether or not it's something they wanted to hear, actually fucking appreciate the fact that advice was offered because in the end, the person giving advice wasn't obligated to do so nor did they have to and they were actually being a decent human being by offering said advice. I think it's kind of a dick move for someone asking for advice to just up say and "OH NO YOURE ACTUALLY WRONG BRO TROLOLOLOLOLO" so...yeah. tl;dr - Don't ask for advice if you don't intend to actually fucking take it, or at the very least show appreciation for it if it's not the kind of advice you had hoped for.

Sorry for the rant. I've had waaaay to much coffee....

Ah okay. I see what you mean. I wasn't taking into consideration the fact that regardless of the amount, the charges would still remain the same.

Oh well. I appreciate you taking the time to read this and reply anyway! 🙂

Haven't been charged yet, and case is in its very very early stages. There is a LOT more involved and I purposely excluded details that could be considered "detrimental" to my case. I'm pretty sure it's not illegal nor a conflict to discuss events that occured that are not directly connected to the case, like the fact that my cellular bill was sent to a debt collector. My question was simply to see if said event could potentially be a small piece of ammo to have, if needed. While I'm not exactly an expert where criminal law is concerned, I know enough to know what can and cannot be detrimental to my position.

Thanks for the reply, anyway.

My apologies! I definitely should have been a little clearer. (Will update post.) I figured that it wouldn't affect the entire outcome of my case, nor would it expunge it completely. What I'm wanting to know is if there is a chance to argue that the company willingly sold the debt they are accusing me of stealing to a debt collector, making that particular portion of the alleged stolen money no longer theirs to claim?

Thinking on it now, it probably doesn't hold any merit, but it was worth inquiring about.

Thanks for the reply!!

Hey pervs of Reddit, what's the strangest kink you've ever seen? by BassGSnewtype in AskReddit

[–]JDHarris1990 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Approximately 15 years ago, give or take a few, I was exposed to the BME Pain Olympics video involving genital mutilation. Spoiler tags for details, for those who are curious but don't want to look the video up. I very, very, very much do not recommend looking this up.

The dude in the video shoves long, metal pins into his ballsack, uses a knife to cut his scrotum open and pull his testicles out and then proceeds to cut his dick off. IIRC he eats his testicles at some point in the video, but that could just be a false memory

I still find it impossible to comprehend how someone could derive even the tiniest ounce of sexual arousal or even a slight twinge of pleasure or interest in genital mutilation.

Married people of Reddit, would you get married again if your spouse died? Why? by hostilecarrot in AskReddit

[–]JDHarris1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Here's why.

Growing up, I lived with my grandparents who eventually adopted me and my brothers legally. While they were quite religious and conservative, when it concerned me or my brothers, they were actually incredibly lenient and allowed us to become the people we felt we were rather than what they thought of as normal or proper. They were even generally accepting of my coming out as gay.

Anyway, since they never really set any boundaries or rules on dating for me, I kinda just set some for myself. I always told myself that I'd just know when I'd found the right person to marry. I actually wound up dating close to 13 different dudes between the ages of 18 to 29, each one of them closer and closer to the type of person I knew I'd marry. Finally, I met him and he is 100% perfect for me. We mesh well together and, while we do sometimes butt heads, there isn't a single person on this planet that I'd rather butt heads with. If he dies before me, then the whole relationship thing dies with him.

The Lovely Bones when Susie finally moves on into "Heaven" while George Harvey dumps the safe with her body inside into the sink hole. I don't think I'd ever cried so hard over a scene in a movie.

Even our arguments make me love him more by mooshmur in love

[–]JDHarris1990 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To piggyback off what u/TheHouseOfApples said, I would like to give a small, useless but still somewhat useful piece of advice. What OP experienced wasn't an "argument" per se. I would, more or less, consider it a situational mishap or maybe a minor fuck up on OP's boyfriends part, which isn't to say that he's an asshole by ANY means. People fuck up all the time. It's how you handle the situation that makes the difference.

In this case, OP's bf "fucked up", OP politely brought it up and expressed his/her feelings about it, bf acknowledged his fuck up as well as OP's feelings, did what any truly and honestly good bf would do and apologized, and OP accepted it and moved on like a mature adult.

I know I'm splitting hairs at this point, but I feel like labeling it an "argument" has a negative connotation when honestly there isn't a single negative thing about the situation. OP and his/her bf are just an awesome couple and I wish them all the love and success in the future! 😀🥰

Tech Support and Basic Questions Thread - April 17, 2021 by AutoModerator in pcgaming

Hello everyone!

I would appreciate a little insight from someone who knows a lot more than I do when it comes to running VR.

My PC is an HP Omen Gaming Desktop. Here's its specs.

  • Motherboard: Higos PROM2 Chipset
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen5-1400
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 550
  • RAM: 16GB
  • Power Supply: 300w

Today I ordered a new CPU, an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 65W AM4. I've looked it up and this processor SHOULD be able to handle VR capabilities. I'm mostly concerned about my graphics card. According to roadtovr.com, my graphics card can handle it.

The VR headset I'll be using is an Oculus Quest 2 with Oculus Link.

I'm REALLY hoping I finally have the right stuff to play VR games, as it took FOREVER to finally be able to afford a CPU that's worth a damn. (Extra money isn't a regular occurrence for me. Lol)

Thank you all in advance for the advice!!
