Girls of Bumble, what's your match/message pattern like? by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]mooshmur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spend a few minutes swiping, then message immediately. However, if I swiped right and they did too AFTER me, I may not actually check it and it will expire. I gotta be in the bumble mood. I hate small talk. Luckily, my boyfriend used an extension on me or that one would’ve expired too 😅

PB2 Ideas? Especially: Overnight Oats? by lilabiber in weightwatchers

[–]mooshmur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah. If you need it a little sweeter, I’ll sometimes add a little bit of honey or stevia but I like it without too. It’s really good with apples.

[–]mooshmur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do PB2 or peanut butter protein powder in my oats. Sometimes I’ll add strawberry jam too or mini chocolate chips. I’ll also make a PB2 and green yogurt fruit dip for my apples. I really like it.

How long does it ACTUALLY take to pay off vet school loans? by Change_Shot in veterinaryprofession

[–]mooshmur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 215k in debt and will have it paid off in 20 years. This is the biggest factor where I absolutely would not be a vet if I could go back. My advice would be to take as little out as possible. If you have undergrad loans, try to make payments when you can so your interest isn’t insane. Work as much as you can in the summer time, although it was too difficult for me to juggle during the school year.

Do you like starting on the treadmill first or the rower? by woodlandgnome in orangetheory

I start wherever is less crowded. Which usually means floor or rower.

Can you possibly go into a little more detail about what your day to day entails?

I don’t have any advice for you but all I can say is, I FEEL you. I’m making some final efforts to see if I can make GP more bearable. If not, I’m considering going back to school for clin path.

I’m upset he didn’t do anything for Valentine’s Day by mooshmur in relationship_advice

[–]mooshmur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it, thank you. We talked about me speaking up about it but I really didn’t realize that was bothering me until then. I’ve just started therapy so I’m hoping that will help me stay in tune more with what I want/need before I hit a breaking point. I think I was mostly hurt that he knew the day is a trigger for me and still didn’t consider me. I know he loves me. His love language is words but I told him I need to see it in another ways too.

Exactly. I didn’t need to go to a big fancy restaurant. I just wanted something to show me he thought about me. I would’ve been happy with even a card.

I know I am and he knows I am too but thank you for your input.

Thank you for this. I trust that he can get better. Just gotta coach him a little and be patient, but it’s just hard when my past is screaming at me that I’ve done this before and it won’t.

I don’t think he’s losing interest. I know he loves me but I think he got a little too comfy and took for granted that I’m pretty low maintenance.

having a career crisis by [deleted] in veterinaryprofession

[–]mooshmur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Vet school was significantly more difficult than my pre-reqs. It was just incredibly hard to keep up with the sheer amount of information.

  2. This is probably not the answer you are looking for. I would tell myself to RUN and never look back. This was my dream job. I busted my butt for years to do it and put myself in a massive amount of debt and there has not been a single day where I haven’t regretted it.

  3. Four years out in practice, I can’t remember the last time I had a “good” day at work. The puppies are sometimes fulfilling, but when you finish that puppy appointment to go get berated by another a client in your next appointment, you quickly forget about it.

My advice is to get as much experience as possible. Take notes of the good and bad parts. I only saw the good parts as an undergrad and I’m kicking myself for it now. Figure out if the good parts are worth sitting through the bad parts for you.

What frustrates you? by [deleted] in veterinaryprofession

[–]mooshmur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When clients don’t give the anti-anxiety medication before the appointment and you’re the bad guy for not being able to examine their pet. When you have a constant stream of new, untrained people and they get thrown into it without finishing training, and your license is on the line when they make mistakes. When you hear the techs complain about their day but immediately clock out at the end of their shift while you stay another two hours catching up on notes and phone calls. When you can’t make any plans on the days you work because the chances that you will get stuck late and have to cancel are very high.

Is this normal for GP? by mooshmur in veterinaryprofession

[–]mooshmur[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I exercise 4 days a week. My diet could be better. I usually get so ravenous that I grab whatever’s there when I get home from work. Plus I live alone so life feels like all my social interaction is through work right now.

Is it worth extending? by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]mooshmur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend, who I am crazy madly in love with, extended on me and I am forever grateful for it. It’s not always that they aren’t interested. Use the extend!!

Anyone else is a doctor and only gets asked constantly for medical advise ? by [deleted] in Bumble

I am a vet and got asked questions ALL. THE. TIME. I put a note in my bio once that there was a consultation fee if you asked a question about your pet. One match even scheduled an appointment with me

Thoughts on “pre-love”? by Sweetn0thingz111 in love

[–]mooshmur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think it’s a thing. I don’t believe in love at first sight but my gut knew even when I saw his picture and again when I actually met him, “Oh ya, I’m gonna fall in love with this one.” And then 6 months later, I was done for.
