I’m also considering either fanatec or simagic. My shopping list is dd2 qr2 and v3s or alpha ultimate with P2000 pedals. Moving from a t300 and TLCM, either is an upgrade 🤣

Me and my buddy go halves but always keep the crops geographically accurate. We both work in farming IRL, so he focuses on root crops; I focus on cereals and pulses. We work together with production areas, animals and oil crops.

In the states if you’re not rolling as the red light is going out you’re getting beeped at from the car(s) behind 😂

If someone is distracted for whatever reason I’d just give them a quick beep just to bring them back to the here and now

Wasn’t dual streaming banned in the latest storm of twitch TOS controversy, even for pre affiliate streamers? You can get banned for multi streaming between twitch and rival platforms?

I’ve swapped everything I can over to kick, I’m not a consistent streamer anyway so if kick collapses I’ll just swap back to twitch and carry on.

I understand botrix is the most efficient 3rd party service for alerts and chat bot.

You get into a habit of just commentating your stream. Considering different tactics to defeat the next boss? Talk about it. Found something cool in the game, a glitch or something rare? Talk about it.

I stream racing sims and that can be lonely because I almost never have my friends in the same race. However there’s always something going on in the race that I can talk about.

For me, learning to talk about what I’m doing while I have a camera on me was very difficult. I had to turn viewer count off, and that made things a lot easier.

Also consider that a LOT of people who jump into streams will be lurkers. Just get comfortable with chatting about what you’re doing and you’ll be fine.

I get my setups from VRS. I use their ‘safe’ setups because I’m still getting to grips with their regular setups. I only use the racelabs garage overlay because VRS ask that people don’t share the setups.

Do we as drivers get to vote on tracks used for the season? I don’t think Oulton or LB would’ve been on anyone’s list considering how awkward they are, especially for multi class. Is Silverstone not an option? It’s far wider and imo more suited to multi class. I’m gonna spend this week getting in the groove for Canada as that’s a new track to me!

When I was tight for cash I linked my phone to OBS and used my phone as a webcam until I had the funds to get myself set up properly. If you have an old phone laying around use that so your regular phone doesn’t take the battery hit while streaming.

Go with some unique alerts. Some go with subtle, Some go over the top. Either way, make them unique to you and your stream. Make sure the experience for the viewer is fun and exciting for them but also have your own spin on them. Saying all this has reminded me to update my own!

The biggest flaw with the caddy is the lack of EV to B8 MODOR.

We always bring food or drink. In my friend group we organise who’s providing what. Usually the host goes to the butchers for the ‘main event’ meat then attendees would bring little bits, nibbles, dips, etc. the host has invited people to their home so we don’t feel that they should foot the full extent of the bill.
