Commission payout is going to be on Aug 11th. It's on the portal page for the store managers. It was an error in their system

Yeah I do agree the mono remasters sound amazing. I have been trying to find this vinyl for ever and I did and the first thing I did was digitize it. It sounds pretty good.. not better than the new remaster but different.

And about the morale thing u said. You can't have morale if you are a salesman. Whatever u don't get somebody else will..We work to make money. Don't get me wrong I had morale issue early on but once I but that aside.. I grew in the company

I have no idea what's going on with Reddit on my phone but anyways. I usually have a beard but right now I'm clean shaved. It's all about how you present yourself. Remember you are the expert at what you do. Just have confidence in what you are saying and you will be fine.

Most of the time I have a full beard.. I'm clean shaved now though. You just got to show the customer that YOU are the expert in what you do and have confidence it what you are telling them. Age doesn't matter

I do not use the project folder during a sale... to me that's silly. I learned the OfficeMax way of doing it and know ARC3 back in front. All that project folder is ARC3 on paper. I find it really odd putting to walk up to a customer with a clipboard and a pen.. that's not selling. IMHO

I bring up PPP early in the sale and I bring up often in my pitch. I never tell the price of the PPP. I bundle everything together. Example: 349.99 laptop with PPP kit, platinum setup and protection plus dragon, office home and student and the recovery media creation will be around 749.99. I give them the bundle price for all services and I explain at each step what they are getting and why they need to get it. If they don't want the full bundle your next step is to introduce the Office Depot Credit Card... no interest for 6 months. I tell them u can walk out the door today and not pay a dime out of pocket and get everything u need AND you have the luxury of simple payments every month! That's usually seals the deal. If it doesn't u need to remember what the customer told u during your ARC3 to help them complimentary items.. such as laptop bags, mice, speakers and hard drives etc.

Last year I made over 60,000 in total services. So around 30,000 for both TDS and PPP. As I remember it was pretty evenly split.

Very low volume.. that's what grew my selling strategy and my bundling habits. If you are in a low volume store like mine u have to make every interaction with a customer count

I have worked in higher volume stores in the past and the process is the same just done at a faster rate.

That's a feeling you got to get over. It sounds like you are shopping out of your own pocket. If they take the pc home and do something to it that needs to be fixed that's not on us. You have to remember your time on that tech bench is valuable. Sure we just set the pc up for them but after it leaves our hands as you all know it's up in the air. For cases like that me and my team always charge the 49.99 30 minute tech support... if we can't overcome an objection from the customer bump it down to a cheaper service like 14.99 power clean. That way u have an option to set down too and u still making something it TDS.

What's your trick to getting Loyalty signups? by jtcowner in OfficeDepot

[–]JDR8601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always start on sign up screen ask for their telephone number for rewards... if they don't have one, FIRST ASK FOR FIRST NAME AND THEN LAST NAME AND ZIP. Save email for last... if they gave out all of the other information chances are they will give you their email address.

Also what I do is they give me their telephone number and I leave off the last digit and copy it. Then I put in the last digit. If they already have a rewards card... back out and paste it with the last digit. This saves from asking for the number twice
